I was interviewed on a 1on 1 basic employee interview. In aquiet area where the interviewee could get to know me and find out background experiance. I discussed availabilty and work experiance. I gave a little of information on my home life and my family. went very well,as I was told I had good communication skills,and was polite.
Negotiation Details
there was no negotiating. I was told that I was going to start out at a certain amount.

I applied, and didn't get a call back for 3 weeks afterwards. The interview lasted around an hour, and was very detailed. The manager (at the time, now she's moved to another location) was very thorough, and very kind. She also had a sense of humor. The interview was one-on-one, which was nice because I feel they get to know you better, and learn what you have to offer. The rest of the staff was friendly and helpful. My advice to future applicants; be very thorough and detailed with your question answers, but do not drag on the answers too long, or go off on other topics.

Initial interview was fine. It was a 1 on 1 interview. Then spoke over the phone. About 2 weeks later, there was interview in a mass setting at a hotel meeting lounge. A few weeks later there was orientation at the same location. Then I was called with a schedule for three weeks later.

There was no negotiation process. I was told what i was offered. I was told it was the most available for that position.

Consisted of a phone interview by a HR manager who was very upbeat and nice. Typical questions and interview like why do you want to work for the Christmas Tree Shop, what experience do you have in retail and then went on to talk about the Christmas Tree Shop and how they start management all the same as department managers.............and then they move up from there.

Interviewed Sep 2010 in Erie, PA (took 2 weeks)
Phone interview followed by interview with another store Manager and Human Resources Manager. I though went very well, however, was told they selected another candidate with no explanation.
Both interviewers were very pleasant and professional and I was very impressed with the Company on a whole. Very excited at the prospect of working for them.
