Interviewed Feb 2011 (took a day)
Received a call to come in for an interview. I interviewed with two people (separately) in sales and operations. The interview was very straightforward. Had I made it beyond this interview there would have been a final interview with the marketing manager. Overall, I think the interview did go well. However, the company is very into relocating employees, and much of the interview revolved around this. I am certain that they knew I was just not willing to make that commitment.

Interviewed Nov 2010 in Detroit, MI (took 2 weeks)
The date of the interview was moved up without warning from the company. I was informed the day of the interview that the company changed the day they were going to be on campus and I needed to be ready to interview that afternoon (4 days prior to the scheduled interview). Needless to say, I was not completely prepared for the interview and just had to go with it. The people I interviewed with did not have any HR skills and weren't even from the division I would have been working for. The experience nullified any interest I would have had in working with the company.

I was able to negotiate with a contract house, however, they use a simple trick to try to give you less salary. When asked for per hour rate, I said I would like a certain amount of K per year. They did a quick calculation and came up with a wrong per hour rate, this was on purpose I later found out as I have seen this same trick done by another agency. Do you own math and tell them exactly how much you want per hour.

Interviewed Nov 2010 (took 2+ weeks)
The interview was relatively simple. It was very conversational and they asked behavorial questions, such as Tell me about a time when you had to be a leader. They asked about strengths and weaknesses. I never heard back from the company about whether I got an offer or not. It was very poorly organized after the interview.

Interviewed Nov 2010 (took 5 weeks)
I obtained an interview at a career fair at the SWE national conference. Interview consisted of a 1:1 behavioral interview. The interview went well and they advised me to apply online after the interview so they could continue with the process. About a week after I applied online, a recruiter contacted me via email to set up another interview. She asked, through email, some basic questions that the interviewer had already asked me one week prior. No matter, no harm done. The recruiter then asked if I would be interested in a phone interview and asked for my availabilities for the next day. I gave her my schedule and I did not hear from her for about a week. I emailed her again and I asked her whether or not they were interested in interviewing me. This time she told me that they wanted to fly me to the Auburn Hills location for a technical interview and a chance to meet the powertrain team. I told her I was interested in the opportunity and asked for further details. 2 weeks later, I still have not heard from her so I contacted her via email to ask about the trip to Michigan. She informed me that they had chosen another candidate.
All in all, I am VERY unhappy with Chrysler's hiring practices.

Interviewed Oct 2010 (took a day)
interviewed at NBMBA job fair in LA. Typical sales questions asked such as "selling me the pen in three minutes". the guy was cool and friendly. but the position was competitive and he said I had 1/25 odds. he also said they were experiencing financial difficulties like other auto companies and struggling with new car sales and total revenue. but they still wanted to hire new people-I didn't know why he said that. I asked a dumb question at last and the guy didn't seem to pay attention because he was tired after conducting 25 interviews I guess.

Interviewed Mar 2008 (took 4 weeks)
I received a call from an hiring agent that wanted to know if I was interested in working for Chrysler. I went to a location designated by the employer to take a test and was notified later that week that I passed and would need to go to another location for a drug screening. After I passed my drug screening I was notified to go to another location to take a comprehensive test and to complete the application for the background check. At that time I also took a skills and job simulation test and was called a week later to come in a join a group of other people and explain what the company does and hired everyone in the room because we had passed everything that we were tested for.
