Interviewed Feb 2012 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took 2 weeks)
1:1 Interview with HR
1:1 Interview with the GM
I was also required to go on a ride along for a day. I was not impressed with the time it took to provide me with some feedback. The person I was to do the ride along with showed up late. They seemed very disorganized.

Interviewed Oct 2011 (took 2 weeks)
I first applied for the SSR position online after watching a five minute video or so as this is required for all candidates applying for the position. I received a callback from HR about a month later for an interview which was scheduled on a Monday. I interviewed with the person from HR who initially called me, very polite and friendly, then was sent to take a personality test with around 200 questions; this took about a half hour. Just your basic personality questions, no math or anything else involved. Then I was sent to interview with a Service Manager who was also very friendly and had been with the company for a long period of time. I was called back the following day for my ride along day and had to be there at 5:30 am to see what a basic day is like with the position. The person I rode along with was very friendly and seemed to be very good at the job. After coming back to the site location around 1 or so I then interviewed with another Service Manager and was told to expect a call back for an interview with the General Manager. I was called the next day and set up another interview the following morning. When arriving for my final interview, the GM was not there so I interviewed with the Plant Manager. After interviewing with the Plant Manager, the four interviews up to this point were the exact same basic STAR formatted questions where you address Situation, Task at Hand, Action Taken and then the Result for each situation addressed. It was up to this stage in the process I thought I was doing well until my final interview. When I met with the GM he did not ask any of these STAR questions and just threw random questions my way. Expect to have a lot of questions to answer and make sure you have plenty of your own questions to ask. I asked around four questions. I even had great reviews from the person I rode along with, but none of this means anything if you don't pass the final one. I was also told I'd have to shave my beard off and no facial hair was allowed. I thought this was absolutely ridiculous considering the people we met with on the routes were mostly mechanics and blue collared workers who had facial hair and did not really care what you looked like as long as their uniforms were there on time. I was pretty excited through the whole process until the last interview where at that point I was hoping I didn't receive a call back. Pretty much a waste of my time. They were starting out at around 17 per hour for training and I wasn't too sure of the pay structure once you went salary. The job is pretty mundane and I don't know why they put you through so much for a job a 16 year old high school student could handle with a little training. This position was pretty repetitive and I probably would have been bored after a month. I received a call back a week later asking about reference checks and that the ones I listed weren't sufficient, but at that point I didn't even want the job anymore so I never even called back. If this job is for you there's potential to make money, but I was not willing to drink the Cintas Kool-Aid as they call it. All of the other interview reviews on here I've read are very accurate of what to expect.

Interviewed Sep 2010 (took 4 days)
You are interviewed over and over again. The best part is, that the people interviewing you, are not very good at it, so you can basically tell them what ever you want. They are looking for dependency, thats it. They want people with problems, (debt, 1000 kids....etc) because they know you are more likely to do whatever it takes to make them money. Its heartbreaking
