I applied through an employee referral and interviewed at Cintas.
Interview Details – First you have a face to face. Just ordinary question from what I can remember. Next step you do a ride along with a trainer and this is to give you a feel for the work and the trainer a chance to observe you. Then your usually made an offer.
Negotiation Details – SSR's start out at $16.00 an hr as of 2013.....
I applied online and the process took 4 weeks - interviewed at Cintas in August 2013.
Interview Details – I applied on line. I was contacted by HR by phone. 10 minute phone interview basic questions. II had a face to face with HR mgr. Set up a 1 day ride along with a SSR. After the ride along I met with a sales mgr and general mgr. The entire process took 3 or 4 weeks.
Interview Question – No real difficult questions. Remember the position is a lot more service than sales. The main focus after service is trying to get the customer to renew their 5 year contract! signed 1 year in advance. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – No salary negotiation. 12.75hr while training. 15.00hr when I got my route. Route became commissioned based salary after that.

Interview Question – situational questions Answer Question
I applied online and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at Cintas in January 2013.
Interview Details – First was a phone interview. Followed by a computer test at a Cintas facility (was nothing major all true false and agree or disagree questions). Directly after the computer part was an in person with a SSR Supervisor. Also did an interview with a Sales Manager and another SSR Supervisor. They scheduled me for the ride along. Did the ride along and tried to do as much as I could and impress the ride along driver because I knew he would be reporting the ride along back to management. After the ride a long I interviewed with the plant manager followed by interviewing with the GM of the facility. I thought the first interviews and the ride along went great. The driver that I rode along with seemed high on me and was talking like I would probably get the job by the end of the interview. They where supposed to all meet and decide if they wanted to hire me or not. It ended up being 3 weeks before I found out that they decided to pass on me. The only interviews I was not sure about where the last two. So I am assuming the GM decided he did not think I would fit or wanted to pass on me for some other reason.
Interview Question – Nothing really. Mainly situational questions. If you have done situational interviews it will be the same. Answer Question
I applied online and interviewed at Cintas.
Interview Details – Had initial interview with the General Manager of the fire safety division. Interview went well and was then asked to do the ride along with a gentlemen that had been with the company for approximately 9 months. Rep was very courteous and informative and knowledgeable. Have not heard back from the GM yet for the second interview.
Interview Question – Why do you feel that you would be a good candidate for the position? View Answer
I applied through an employee referral and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at Cintas in November 2012.
Interview Details – They start off with a pre-screening interview call, once you past that they bring you in for a ride along with a current Service Sales Rep to see first hand what you would be doing from day to day. Then if you past that they bring you in for the first of 4 interviews ending with an interview with the GM of that location. He has the final decision no matter if the other Service managers approve you.
Interview Question – Tell me about a time when you had to Upsell a product to a customer? Answer Question
Negotiation Details – They present you with the starting wage, which at the time was $15.83hr for SSR's. You either accept it or not, there wasn't much negotiating for that dollar amount. If you accept, you sign the offer letter and schedule a date when to start your training.
I applied through an employee referral - interviewed at Cintas in November 2012.
Interview Details – You have to submit an on line application first, check your key words, then they call you in for a ride along day, they pay you for that, right after a long day in the field you have a series of interviews and test after which if you pass your final interview is with the GM. Nothing to grueling they want to see if your a good fit mentally, emotionally and intellectually.
Interview Question – Mostly standard stuff you would expect on any corporate interview. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – N/A
I applied online and the process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at Cintas in November 2011.

Interview Question – What is your greatest fear? Answer Question
Very Easy Interview
I applied online and the process took 6 weeks - interviewed at Cintas in August 2011.
Interview Details –
I applied online and was contacted three days later. The HR manager set up an interview for the following day which was a Friday. I first interviewed with the HR manager who asked questions from a worksheet then I took a personality test. The questions were generic and concerned about past work experience. I then sat in the lobby for half an hour and interviewed with the service manager. Again, generic typical question any interviewer asks.
He went ahead and scheduled me for the ride-along with one of their current employees on the following tuesday. The ride-a-long was 8 hours long and I just filled out some paperwork afterwards.
4 weeks have gone by and I have not been contacted or sent an email. I called and emailed both the hr manager and service manager for updates on my application. They never answered or called back. I was told I would be paid for the ride a long. I still havent received a check.
In conclusion, Cintas is a good company to work for but it was a total WASTE OF MY TIME in my experience. The communication with this company is terrible.
