Received and Declined Offer

Interviewed Feb 2007 in Ottawa, ON (Canada) (took a day)
Referred by friend. Phone call set up the interview. The interview process was very impersonal (a cookie cutter interview consisting of 5 back-to-back technical interviews where the interviewers came with a sheet of set questions.) that was more of solving programming trivia (eg. linked list, ++p or p++, etc)

Reason for Declining
I got the impression that it was all about work (the interview lasted until 9.00 pm and pretty much everyone was still working on the floor that I was on). They did not ask me anything about my background, the experience that I would bring, any technical problems that I faced in my work and how they were dealt with (gave me the impression that your past is not relevant). With 10+ years of experience, I was not asked any design questions but stupid programming trivia (which is ok within limits) about how to increment pointers, how to do recursion, and how to mask bits!
Before the the offer, I got a better position in my, at that time current, company so decided to stick with it.
Other Details
I got the interview through an Employee Referral and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview and a Skills Test.

Interviewed Aug 2008 (took 1 week)
I got the phone interview first. It took around 30 minutes. I was asked several questions such as related technical skills, my work experience, my softskills, my strength and weakness. Then the interviewer ended said I will be noticed about the second round of interview by phone if I was choosed into the short list.
I was notified within one week about the second round interview. The second interview was scheduled at 3 hours and it was an 1:1 interview. There were four interivers in total. The questions were almost the technical knowledges related to the position. And some questions about soft skill.

Received and Declined Offer

Interviewed Mar 2008 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took 3 days)
Long and disorganized. There were several rounds of interviews, some with sales engineers, some with managers, some with HR over the phone.
Individually, each person who I spoke with was very professional, and good to deal with. However internally, there appeared to be a lack of communication. I spoke to several HR individuals both within Canada and the US, and none seemed to be aware of the others' work or involvement in the hiring process.

Reason for Declining
I was very excited for the job but ultimately chose to decline the offer - the amount of internal disorganization on the part of HR and the hiring managers was so great, that my visa paperwork only arrived the DAY BEFORE I was supposed to start my training session in the US.
This gave me insufficient time to find accommodations, and I did not have enough time to give my employer at the time sufficient notice of my intention to leave.
Other Details
I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, a Group/Panel Interview, a Presentation, a Skills Test and a Background Check.
