Interview Question – I did not anything very tough. Most of the questions were very common in C and DS.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – I was in 4L package and when they offered me 8.2L, I did not negotiate at all. But even after 2 years of stay in the company, I did not get a hike worth mentioning.

I applied through an employee referral and the process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at Cisco Systems India in August 2012.

Interview Details – First will be a phone screen where they'll ask you questions on basic data structure to test your grasp on linked list, trees etc. If you clear that , you'll be invited for a face to face interview which will last for an entire day consisting of 4 technical rounds grilling you in data structures (linked list, tress, hash tables), operating system concepts and finally if all goes well you'll talk to a manager. Learn all the different tricks possible in a linked list. Helps big time!

Interview Question – Not very complex questions. WAP to check if your machine is big endian or little endian. Not tough but tricky if you haven't come across this question earlier.   Answer Question

I applied online and the process took a day - interviewed at Cisco Systems India.

Interview Details – Saw an opening in a job portal and applied and then got the call next day from one of the consultancy. And they fixed an appointment on the next working day. Had to wait for 10 minutes in the office lobby before HR took me for the individual written test on C. After clearing that attended two back to back technical rounds by two managers and later again another round by a group of managers and then a HR round. I got the offer letter on the same day and joined after two months. This happened 6 years back and ever since I didn't leave the company.

Interview Question – Some brain teaser was an unexpected one though I answered it correctly i.e 1 out of 8 similar looking weights is odd one and need to find that in two weighings.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – Should have negotiated more. Didn't have experience in negotiation then. Didn't get what I've asked for.
