Interviewed Oct 2011 in San Jose, CA (took a day)
Recruiting at my local university. Met with the division manager that was hiring. Accepted my resume. Called me to schedule an interview on location. Once arrived was interviewed by 3 people individually, all engineers i'd be working with. First person asked me general questions about my past projects in electrical engineering and past internship experiences and how that helped me or what I learned. next one asked me about metastability and also about past projects. Last one asked me about c++ coding structures and how I would design a loop to go over an array of some sort. I can't remember too well. He also asked about Design verification generalities as to how I would check for errors on a basic calculator that was giving a wrong answer. Was thrown off by the simplicity of it but if you think about it he was looking at how I would go about the process, he didn't expect me to really know how to fix a simple calculator. He was trying to see how my thought process was in design verification mostly. Interesting interview process to say the least. It wasn't difficult but it wasn't the easiest either.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in San Jose, CA (took 4+ weeks)
Recruiter contacted me after sending in resume. 1-1 phone interview with recruiter. Recruiter shared they would next share with hiring manager and if interested would contact me on next steps. 1-1 by phone with hiring manager followed by 1 interview by phone with peer and 1 in person interview with another individual on the team. Recruiter and HR support team setting up interviews etc. were always timely and kept in touch very well every step which was a very pleasant surprise :-) .
Everyone from recruiter to HR support folks and interviewers were excellent - some behaviorial type interview questions but primarily conversations to understand depth and breadth of what I brought to the table as well as what they were seeking. Work culture appeared to be very people orientated and I have heard positive reviews of the culture from others.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in San Jose, CA (took a day)
It was a college recruiting event, and I got an 1:1 interview with an alumni. The interviewer was nice and professional. She asked several general first interview questions and some technical questions. The technical questions were pretty straight but not tricky. If you got CCNA or CCENT Certification, you will be fine with those technical questions.

Very professional interview. The questions asked were straightforward and a decision was made very quickly. Since Cisco needed this position pretty badly, they introduced me to the platform and that was that.

Interviewed Jan 2010 in San Jose, CA (took 1 week)
I submitted my resume through Cisco.com for a Software Engineering internship position. It took about a month for them to contact me back. The recruiter called me for a phone interview, the questions were pretty easy. It's more of a review of my resume and background. I was called into an onsite interview about a week later with the hiring manager. The questions were pretty easy, I guess it was because I was applying for an internship position. He asked me basic PHP questions, how does web application works, some networking fundamentals and some design questions. Then, I was interviewed individually by the entire team and extended team. It was a pretty long 5 hours interview. The interviewer were really nice and took a lot of notes during the interviews. You should really study and prepare for the interviews in both technical and soft skills questions. They offered me the internship about two weeks later.

Interviewed Mar 2009 in San Jose, CA (took 3 days)
The interview started by phone with HR, then I met with the VP of the organization, then the hiring manager, then the team I would be working with. Everyone was pleasant and the team interview was probably the most rigorous; probably because they had just come out of a bad experience with a prior manager. Overall it seemed long at the time, but a good experience.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in San Jose, CA (took a day)
There are no self-introduction part or CV questions. It went straight forward to a program analysis question, asking me to figure out all the possible errors in that program. Some are obvious syntax error. But there are some errors that are not obvious and require a sound programming foundation. There might be some other questions after this but when I failed to solve this question. The interviewer showed no further interest and stopped the interview. The 1 on 1 interview is stressful and the interviewer hope to find someone who are really experienced with programming, regardless of what programming language he / she is using.

Interviewed Oct 2010 in Santa Clara, CA (took 4+ weeks)
There was an initial phone interview with an engineer that asked a few questions about my resume and technical skills. We chatted about the position and if I was interested, I was, he explained the interview process and gave me some materials I should read up on.
There was another phone screen with an engineer that was about 15 minutes long. I passed and got an in person interview
I met with 4 employees total including the manager. I was asked to solve a simple programming problem on the white board while the interviewer grabbed some coffee. After that I was quizzed on my technical abilities including Linux commands, architecture, networking, osi model, etc..

Interviewed Apr 2009 in San Jose, CA (took a day)
Pretty clear that the manager had already made up his mind on choosing someone else and I was just being interviewed to appease my friend who had arranged the interview. I would have loved the job but was passed over which may been a good thing because they closed the business unit and fired everyone five months ago.
