Difficult. A lengthy process with many "what would you do" questions. Walked out of the interview thinking I had the job, three days later received a no offer.

Two phone interviews followed by superday in NYC. I had to network extensively to get the interview since I came form a non target school. Superday consisted of five 25 minute interviews with mostly directors in the Sales and Trading Business

I applied online. The process took 5+ monthsinterviewed at Citi in January 2015.

    Interview Details

Application form CV and cover letter.
Applied in September process took about 5 months. Heard back within the hour after the first round, took just over a week to get the offer through after the AC.

First round consisted of two 30 minute competency interviews with an associate and a vice president. Not technically difficult, usual competency questions, walk through cv, have a good answer as to why citi, and why s&t

Assessment centre took up an entire day

First task was a case study project (write a report and prepare a presentation, presented to a director with 10-15 mins of Q&A)
Then had to re-take the numeracy test
3 back to back interviews with directors, one seemed to concentrate entirely on your CV, another was a mixture of competency and technical questions, final one was fit/motivation

Finished the day with a group exercise, given some time to prepare and read through the literature, and then had a 30 minute group discussion where we had to agree on final outcomes

    Corporate Banking Summer Analyst Interview

I applied through college or university. The process took a dayinterviewed at Citi in February 2015.

    Interview Details

Completed first round interview, arranged through my college. I was interviewed by two employees from their Connecticut and New York locations. The interview was behavioral and they did not stick to a specific structure or rigid questioning. It felt more like a conversation than interview. It was a 30 minute interview based mostly around my resume and current events, as well as how what I do ties into Citi and Corporate Banking.

I applied online – interviewed at Citi.

    Interview Details

Three rounds of interviews, two in person and one on the phone. They were mostly very nice. However their questions were not very easy to handle. Didn't hear back from them since the second onsite interview (it's been more than 2 months).

    Interview Questions
    • Mostly technical and resume based questions. Since this role is about model implementation (so I guess), C++ skills were very much emphasized. A lot tests on that, including writing codes on an editor. Detail-driven. They were very interested in digging into your projects and asked many follow-up questions.   Answer Question

Very quick process, 3 stages for the summer internship, the same for full time. Good to know many languages - big selling point for Citi. They tend to select people from top universities, love Oxbridge, LSE, Science Po, etc. Read FT before the interview, they like hearing about the deals that Citi did recently

I applied through college or university – interviewed at Citi.

    Interview Details

I applied through my university's campus recruiting and got an interview. Though I was a business major applying through the business school, my interviewer said he usually interviewed engineering students. The questions were all very technical. The positions described to me did not match the descriptions I had read in the job post on my university's website. I thought the interview was difficult, but a computer science or engineering major would have probably done better.

On Campus. Applied through school website and online at Citi as well. Interview was one round, 2 30 minute interviews with 2 people. Questions were all pretty straight forward, targeted towards seeing your fit within the company. Main question they wanted to know you knew the answer to is "what is the dodd-frank act?" The people were both very friendly, and not intimidating at all.

I found the job announcement for this position on an internet website. I then went to Citi's website and immediately applied. Part of the application process required an online assessment that took less than 45 minutes to complete. Upon completion, I immediately received an email indicating that I successfully qualified on their assessment. One business days later, I was contacted by a Citi recruiter, who scheduled my interview for the following day.

When I arrived for my interview, I was impressed with the overall professionalism of the staff I encountered. There were many Citi employees also waiting to be interviewed for other positions within the company. Most had been working there for over 8 years and seemed extremely approachable, friendly, and loyal to the company. A relaxed and casual environment.
