I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Citi (New York, NY) in March 2015.

Interview

3 rounds - first two were fine, the last was meh. If you know what you are doing you should pass with flying colors. The biggest obstacle is really the hiring manager getting enough time or rememberingn to process the paperwork.

    Interview

I was hired as a full time employee based on my work as a consultant. They wanted me to convert as a full time position. I was torn because this position was a Senior Vice President position and my salary was at a Director level. I was at the salary cap limit for a SVP..

    Negotiation

    Long and painful

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Citi in November 2014.

    Interview

Interview process took well over a month to find the right candidate... There was several rounds of interviews some in great detail, some not so much. I was given the opportunity to meet the entire Global Risk Team that I would work with on a daily basis. The rapport was very good within the team members.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6+ months. I interviewed at Citi (New York, NY).

    Interview

As part of a small group I knew the hiring manager from a prior job. I met with the business head to whom my hiring manager reported to. The interview with the business head / managing director was conversational but allow each of us dig into the others experiences and objectives. There was also an HR screen which was professionally conducted.

    Negotiation

You need to have insight into the HR banding to know the range you are working in.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Citi (New York, NY) in July 2013.

    Interview

Senior management took the time to get to know me, and sell me the role. However, the culture and care they displayed in the interview process was not the actual culture of the organization. As a woman, the woman friendly environment was misrepresented in the interview process...the only 2 senior leaders in the division were the 2 of the 5 senior management I met (Director/Managing Director Level). The culture in actuality was one of male cave like thinking with war like tendencies of ego and chest banging, and no respect was displayed generally for women. The interview process represented a smart and intelligent process, however, the chaotic actuality once I was in the environment reflected smart and intelligent people with out any leadership or managerial abilities. To receive an offer, everyone had to unanimously like you.

    Interview Questions

    • The traditional questions: 1. Review your background with the angle of why you're the most qualified for the job, why do you want this job, and why should they pick you 2. Approach to relationship management and difficult situations 3. Testing on concepts of your background with drill down to specific areas of interest   Answer Question

    Negotiation

No negotiation....there's a formula. For me, they took my current base salary and gave me a 15K increase to minimally satisfy me taking the offer, with the promise of more within 6 months, which never occurred. They also misrepresent how difficult any negotiation or something more would be (which is not true as I then worked there and learned the truth)

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6+ months. I interviewed at Citi in April 2011.

    Interview

I met with the person who was going to be my managing director. I did not know at the time he was new to the company and was not secure in his role. He did not play politics well and was not well received as he was let go 6 months later. I therefore had no one to mentor or sponsor me

    Interview Questions

    Negotiation

It was long and drawn out. They wound up downgrading the role after leaving me dangling for 4 months telling me they were interested thinking I was going to A and it did not happen
