Interviewed Dec 2011 in New York, NY (took a day)
Why Citi? Why IB? What are ways to value companies? The interviewer was challenging but very nice. Asked me who the CEO, chairman and the presidents are and what the ratios are as well. Pretty straightforward but do need to prepare for the interview.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Delray Beach, FL (took a day)
I applied for teller openings in the Palm Beach County area in early Sept. and got an email from Citi HR to set up a telephone interview. HR called me at my appt. time SHARP, so make sure you are near the phone. Interviewer was very friendly and the interview itself lasted about 10 minutes. She told me right away I did well and seemed like I would be a match for the position. She told me there were a number of branches opening in the PBC area and that one of the hiring managers would contact me in a week or so. I have received zero communication since then...

Interviewed Mar 2011 in New York, NY (took 3 weeks)
Had an on campus interview, but never received a call back from HR. Received an email 2-3 weeks later asking me to come in for a Super Day in 2 days. Super Day consisted of two 1 on 1 interviews with people within Operations (Managers, Analysts, etc) at the ICG office at 388 Greenwich Street. Interview process wasn't a bad experience, but the HR was very slow and do not often respond to emails.

Interviewed Jan 2009 (took 3 days)
Initial contact was with the HR recruiter on campus at b-school. However, I was rejected by the recruiter. I still ended up on the interview list because my university had a bidding system which enabled rejected candidates to interview.
All my interactions with the senior managers were great. All were smart, personable, friendly and genuinely interested in meeting the candidates. Sadly, I found out after joining the firm, that they were an exception to the rule and had self-selected as volunteers to interview.
The interviews themselves were fairly straightforward - about my work experience, leadership style, examples of success/failure etc.
A year later I had the opportunity to act as the campus representative and was able to observe the initial HR "selection process" first hand. The process was very random - I overheard some HR person commenting on how "cute" she thought the candidate was.
