Interviewed Feb 2010 in Plymouth Meeting, PA (took 3 weeks)
After taking an assessment at Citizens website, I received a phone call from a recruiter in Rhode Island. He asked my a couple of questions to qualify me for employment and also a couple of questions about how I would handle a few customer service situations. I was then asked to do an interview day where I sat with 2 branch managers in my area. This was mostly a fit interview with behavioral and sales questions. The interviewers were very nice and made the process comfortable. I did not get an offer at this point, but I realized that I never actually applied for any of the job postings online. I applied yesterday online for a few positions and received another phone call today asking about my availability for a couple locations and scheduled another phone interview.

Interviewed Jul 2009 in Hempstead, NY (took 2 weeks)
First I had a phone interview with a human resources rep where he asked me to give examples of certain situations i had encountered in the past. These were things like a dispute with a customer, capitalizing on a sales opportunity and managing others. The 1 on 1 interview was very straight forward and their was an emphasis on teamwork. Also is was an instore bank so i was taken into the aisles of the store to see how I would engage the customers.

Interviewed Mar 2009 in Springfield, MA (took a day)
Interviewer was very interested in sharing his own background with me. Also told me that he was pretty sure that they were going to promote from within, but had to explore the "other options" as well. I appreciated hearing that after a 1 1/2 hr drive to his office.

Interviewed Nov 2009 (took 2+ months)
Interview process went on and on. They seemed very unorganized, unprofessional and unable to get any thing put together in a timely fashion. Initially had several phone converations with recruiter. A week or so late, I had a 1 hour call with HR. This was a very difficult interview. She asked many questions seemingly from a script. Next step was for her to talk with hiring manager. I did not hear back after two plus weeks so thought that I was out of the running.
The finally called the recruiter back and scheduled a second phone interview with someone that would be a peer. Interview went well as he know what he was looking for and asked consise questions. Another week and a half go by. A third phone interview with another potential peer. Again interview went well. In this interview, she mentioned that alot of reorg just finished and that things were disorganized. She was not as knowledgeable as the previous interviewer. At the end it felt like I was interviewing her.
The hiring manager only had 2 times that he could meet on two days notice. I could not meet at either of these times. I offered to make myself available at night or the weekend and many other times to get on his schedule. In talking wth the recruiter he said that they are notorious for a very long interview process. Recruiter told me that I was the only candidate to make it to this stage in the interview process. He would try to get on the "very busy" hiring managers calendar. Another week goes by. After about 10 weeks, I accept a position with another company as I got tired of the long drawn out process.

Interviewed Nov 2009 in Guilderland, NY (took 1+ week)
They called me for an interview at their new location in Guilderland, NY. The manager was very nice and tried to convince me regarding the potential to make loads the first year. She kept on talking about how her branch was the best in the country and always met their goals. She tried telling me how leads were provided and cold calling was not required. I knew right there that it was a bunch of B.S.

First you must take an online assessment, if you fail, you cannot move forward with the interviewing process. If you pass, you will receive a phone call and do a phone interview. If you pass that, you can have a one on one interview with a branch manager, and ultimately, if they like you, your hired.
