Interviewed Oct 2011 in Fort Lauderdale, FL (took 2 months)
Multi step process begininng with phone interview with HR, followed by phone interviews with hiring manager and her supervisor. This was followed by an on-site trip. I was remote so they paid for my travel expenses to spend the day at the office in Ft. Lauderdale. There I met the hiring manager and supervisor for brief interviews and met with 4 managers from different departments that I work with. I also had lunch with the team I would be joining. An intense day but very useful. It was a lot more about getting to know someone and seeing if they are a good fit for the work environment. There was plenty of opportunity for me to ask questions to see if this is a place I would like to work.

Negotiation Details
The negotiations were very easy. I was able to get a signing bonus as the position I was applying for did not include relocation assistance. I was a bit surprised that I was required to move so quickly as I was hoping to work from home until I sold my house. They have been supportive of me going back and forth for long weekends and working from home.

I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, a Group/Panel Interview and a Background Check.

Interviewed Jun 2009 in Fort Lauderdale, FL (took a day)
Interview was a breeze. Two out of 7 people showed up in the group I was to manage. It was Friday and everyone didn't care. I was hired but mainly due to no vote allowed unless you took part in the interview. Later a reorganization showed why they didn't care.

Applied for a Talent Sourcing position in Fort Lauderdale at Citrix Corp. Interview handled by 2 offices of Compsy's,Raleigh than after no response in 4 days, Fort Laud. In person interview with the Business Development Manager at the Compy's Sunrise office. Was shocked to find out that the Sourcing position was promised to an internal staffing member. Was presented an admin recruiting position to me and since have been out of work for 6 months advised if Citrix would pay a professional salary would consider. this 6 month contract position.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Fort Lauderdale, FL (took a day)
They just asked me simple questions, like what is paging, what are volatile members, difference between threads and process.
But each question , they go in details.
like if u define volatile members as "it tells compiler that the variable can be accessed by multiple threads simultaneously." He then asks you how the compiler is informed. What does the compiler do after that. something like that.
Another thing is , they ask you to share a google doc file and gives you 2 programming questions to write in C or C++. mine was string reversing and binary search. pretty simple bt you have to take care of the test cases.

Interviewed Aug 2010 in Fort Lauderdale, FL (took 3 weeks)
The phone interview was fairly easy and straightforward with the hiring manager. The next step was to the panel interview. Citrix has a special room for this. There's a U-shaped table. You sit on one side. The interviewers, 3-4 of them, sit on the other side. The interviewers have a set script of questions that the interviewee is asked. The questions weren't super tough; they are an attempt to get folks who are the "best fit" and were definitely unexpected (which made them tough).
They did make a pretty quick decision. I believe them when they say they're looking for employees who are the best fit. The interviewers seemed to be intelligent and intense, but friendly. My sense overall was that the intelligence level with the organization is pretty high (which is unusual in South Florida).

Interviewed Sep 2010 in Fort Lauderdale, FL (took 7+ weeks)
Initially had 3 phone interviews. One with the hiring manager, one with a technical person and the third was with the HR person.
The hiring manager wouldn't stop bringing up my education and my work experiences and how wonderful they were (bad sign, right?). He said I maybe over-qualified for the role, but then went on to say the role would grow into its own department and he needed someone with my background. Then he questioned my technical skills. That led to the technical screen.
The technical screen was short and too the point leaving the screener saying "Wow, I need to sit down with you, you really have a great tech background..."
On-site interview was a typical high-tech group hug, speaking with an assortment of people, each with their own agenda. It was clear each person had their view of the role, its vision and what the position should be doing.
After wrapping up the interviews, which I felt went really well, I was told I'd hear from someone in a week.
This is where I became rather dismayed.
On day 11, I reached out to the internal recruiter and the hiring manager. Nothing.
On day 15, I try again. Nothing.
All in all there was 37 days in which there was no proactive communication from Citrix. I had already moved on, but was rather dismayed that a company of their size and professed culture would just go silent.
On day 37, I finally got the form email saying they had found someone who more closely matched their requirements.
I am going to sound sour here, but I think my background and experiences did freak the hiring manager and he figured I was gonna outshine the master very quickly.
