Interviewed Mar 2010 (took 3 months)
I interviewed with about 5 people from top management at Clinique. The interview challenged both my analytics ascwell as my strategic skills. The interview was lengthy and thorough. First, i walked through the salient experience that i could leverage in the Clinique job. The management at Cli ique assumes that you already know a lot about the company when you walk in -- so you better. Then you are asked to work through a strategic plan for the organization

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Pullman, WA (took 3 weeks)
-1- I responded to craigslist ad with short cover letter/resume
-2-recieved email back requesting an interview. I accepted and scheduled one.
-3-interview consisted of scenario questions such as "a man asks for help choosing a lipstick, what do you do" and "a woman comes in with foundation 4 shades too dark and wants even darker shade, what do you do" the interview went really well. interviewer was extremely professional and made me feel valued and interesting. Asked questions that were pretty easy to answer without too much forethought although I recommend thinking about questions such as those I just mentioned.
-4-at end of one on one interview, the counter manager conducting the interview asked if I was willing to interview by phone by the Estee Lauder Talent Plus company, I accepted.
-5- four days go by and talent plus calls and schedules an interview
-6-three more days and I interviewed finally
-7-talent plus phone interview was conducted on 4 applicants who passed the first interview including myself. The third and final interview would be conducted and job-offered to the applicant with the best talent plus interview. the interview was 45 minutes exactly and consisted of questions such as "do you think about work outside of work hours? Describe a time that happened" and "from one to ten how organized are you, and why do you say that?" and "what to you is an ideal customer". I answered as best as I could.
-8-phone interview went well, I was asked to interview for a management position as well. I accepted. we took a 5 minute break then I was called back and interviewed for another Hour and a half or so. Same type of questions as the first phone interview but more oriented around situations such as "two young female employees of yours are becoming catty and its interfering with sales, how do you handle this?" and " How do you make employee scheduling choices and why?". after concluding the 2+hours of interview over the phone, I was told I would be contacted in two days or less.
-9- 5 days later ( i interviewed the day before thanksgiving so I understand) I received an email from the counter manager again asking for me to come in and speak with her. I agreed and scheduled a time about a week later at her request. I came in and she asked me if I was willing to interview with the store manager (as a makeup counter employee I would be hired by the store the counter is located in) I agreed and scheduled a time.
-10- Interviewed with store manager and was offered the job. Final interview was very simple and basic about honesty, am I a team player etc. Immediately sat down with counter manager afterwards and signed papers and got introduction to working here.

Interviewed Oct 2011 (took a day)
Initial communication was a phone call as I was referred to the Interviewer. As a convenience they were traveling to my market which allowed for an immediate interview 1 on 1. As I am flexible I was ok with meeting at 7'oclock at night. After passing first interview I was told there would be TWO more, One hour long phone personality interview and then another with a higher manager after completeting the second.

Reason for Declining
I chose to decline the offer because the position they were hiring for was not being compensated appropriately. The position entailed much more responsibility for less money than I am currently making. I chose NOT to step back to go forward. Very disappointed.
Other Details
I got the interview through an Employee Referral and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview.

Interviewed Jun 2011 (took 3 weeks)
I went through 3 separate interviews for this job, over several weeks. I was interviewed by Belk, by the manager at Clinique, and over the phone by a third party personality test interviewer. After all of this, and calling back numerous times, they finally decided to answer the phone and tell me a former employee had decided to come back. It would have been nice if they wouldn't have made me wait nearly a month to find out if I got the job.

Interviewed Oct 2010 in New York, NY (took a day)
Smooth interview process.. Got interviewed 1:1 by all members of the team (4 people) involved starting from the Executive Director of the team down to the Assistant Marketing Manager. Each interview lasted about 30 minutes each. Total of 2 hours straight in one day.
All interviewers had different types of questions.. All however asked me to come up with a product that would go with the company's current product line and how I would market it.. why marketing? why Clinique?.. Another interviewer asked marketing related questions and how it affects the company's current markets and other just want to engage with you and get to know you personally (hobbies, favorite past time, food, travelling, etc.)
Everyone in the team were very nice and professional.. Each one of the team handed me their business cards at the end of the interview.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Chicago, IL (took 2 weeks)
I found the interview to be very engaging and straight-forward. The personailty test is in-depth and extremely accurate in determining where you will fit within the company. It's provides lasting insight, not only for the employer, but also yourself regarding your career goals and/or path.

Interviewed Jan 2010 (took 5 days)
HR representative was a few minutes late because she was browsing the clearance items inside the retail store the counter was located. However, interview was a typical, standard interview. I was asked what I knew about a brand, but gave information the representative did not know. I am not sure if that is positive or a negative.
Job description that was given in person was not exactly what was forwarded to me in print. Will continue interview process to see if retail store manager will be able to clarify.
