Interviewed Feb 2012 in Hyderabad (India) (took 2 days)
Interview at Cognizant Hyderabad for product control process is not so difficult to crack, the questions revolved around basics of accountancy, finance and general awareness again related to finance profile. The interview started with the written test on first day with the questions from accountancy followed by a JAM session for all the candidates. Results were to be announced next day, so we were asked to leave. Few days later we were called for final round which was one to one interview with two panel members and two technical round of interview. Stressing on my memory, few questions which I can recall are:
i) Functions of Excel.
ii) What is CDS
iii) What is Euro Crisis
iv) How did Euro crisis spread to Greece.
v) What is Bond, what are the risks faced by bondholders
vi) How can we mitigate risks faced by bondholders.

Interviewed Jan 2012 in Hyderabad (India) (took 6 days)
First there was an easy aptitude test in ANURAG GROUP OF INSTITUTIONS (Formerly CVSR College of Engineering) On Jan 7 it only had English, Reasoning , Sequences and figure based questions... it was very easy... arround 3000 people wrote exam and 600 ppl are shortlisted... I was shortlisted and I've got the Interview invite same day night.
Then Second and Third round was in VBIT Auditorium, Vanenburg IT Park, # 17, Software Units Layout, Madhapur Hyderabad. They have divided shortlisted people into two groups and interviewed on two different days 9'th Jan and 12'th Jan. I was called on 9'th Jan. Ar round 300 people attended interview that day.
Second Round was a Technical Interview. The interview lasted for 35-40 minutes and they asked core concepts in C,C++, Java and asked to write program coding. As my project was of .NET platform interviewer asked me questions about that too.. It was more of Technical+HR type of interview and was very tough unless one is sound with his technical and verbal skills he and get through it.... I was very confident that i would get shortlisted because the way i attempted interview i was pretty sure that i would clear that.... results are announced immediately Out of 300 people 200 were dropped and 100 are sent to HR round... So Prepare well for that...
Third and final round was HR the easiest of all other rounds.. It was a Rapid fire and Film story telling round lasted for just couple of minutes... I attempted very well...
And Finally on Jan 16'th I've got the Offer Letter from Cognizant.... According to sources 100-150 are selected among 3000 people.. And i'm one of them....

Interviewed Sep 2011 in Hyderabad (India) (took 12 months)
Interviewing for a senior pm role in hyderabad. A cognizant HR lakshmi atluri called up and fixed an interview first week of July. F2F with 2 senior members for more than an hour, cleared that and was asked to attend a telephonic interview with a director in USA. Bridge line set, logged on to the bridge line, waited and waited. No one joined. Called the HR, he said he would try connecting. Waited for 30 mins, no one joined, dropped off! Telephonic interview rescheduled the next week. Again joined the bridge, waited for 15 mins, no one joined. Called the HR and told him this, he said the director might have been busy. Recruiter calls up again couple of times asking my availability. But no confirmation for the next round. Emailed recruiter but no response. HORRIBLE recruitment process for a person at the senior level. Recruiter calls up again in November asking if I am available and he will schedule an interview with the director in US. I tell him to get lost....end of story!!! Never expected this from cognizant.

Interviewed May 2010 in Hyderabad (India) (took a day)
If I wasn't gainfully employed with a good salary and benefits, I would likely have taken this job. As it was an exciting product group among a strong set of software developers. But my job search goal was to find a position that was a step up from where I was now. I had been looking for a job that was a change from where I was at, but would still allow me to be in a leadership role (software manager, architect, or developer with a large scope). The position offered was for an individual contributor role. I knew I would be in for a long learning curve and long hours to ramp up on their code base and tools before I would be on par with the rest of the group.

Technical round, Technical + managerial round in 2 phases. Interview process is quick and the questions were very much related to Fundas and quality aspects. Almost all the projects in my resume were covered. Questions related real time issues are good day-to-day issues that we face in our project (Guys without proper hands-on will suffer).
