Interviewed Jul 2011 (took a day)
I applied in person and was called a few days later to schedule an interview. Did the interview and I was offered a job on the spot. The manager at the one I applied at had been in the position for a few years and she knows what she was looking for.

Interviewed May 2009 in Boise, ID (took a day)
I applied online and was called to come in for an "audition". An "audition" was right. I came to the store and there was conducted the group interview that consisted of us going around and answering random questions that were supposed to bring out our personality. PERSONALITY is key to getting this job. It was a lot of fun, especially when asked to create our own song/jingle (in a small group) and our own individual "Creation".

Interviewed Oct 2011 (took 1+ week)
I applied online and was emailed to schedule a phone interview within a few days. The phone interview was extremely short (only a few minutes), discussing my background and availability. A couple days after that, I was emailed with a job opportunity. Overall, if you have a positive attitude and strong customer service skills, it is a fairly easy job to get.

Interviewed Jul 2011 in Kansas City, MO (took a day)
I applied online & within a day or 2 I was called back. The interview/"audition" was scheduled for 9a.m. When I arrived there were about 6 other people that showed up too & there were chairs lined up in front of the store. The manager was a young girl and she had us fill out an availability sheet as soon as we got there. Then that is when we all found out that the interview was actually an audition & they made us sing, dance or "bust a move", get in groups & sing, then asked to everyone in the group. Mine was"What was your biggest accomplishment?" After the audition was over they were going to call us back or email us if we got the job. I received neither.

Interviewed Apr 2011 in Triadelphia, WV (took a day)
I got to Cold Stone Creamery, and about eight people were sitting in a circle toward the back. These were the other applicants. Rather than an interview, the process was an "audition," complete with singing a song we made up about Cold Stone. The whole process was fairly relaxed, but the oddity of having to perform was off-putting. Also, one prospective employee showed up at least a half hour late; I'm fairly sure she was the only one of us who was hired. So punctuality probably isn't a huge deal.

are always stressful - even for job seekers who have gone on countless interviews. The best way to reduce the stress is to be prepared. Take the time to review the "standard" interview questions you will most likely be asked. Also review sample answers to these typical interview questions.
Then take the time to research the company. That way you'll be ready with knowledgeable answers for the job interview questions that specifically relate to the company you are interviewing with.

Interviewed Jul 2009 in Nampa, ID (took a day)
We were separated into groups and were made to work together on making up a ice cream related song based off of a song not related to ice cream. Next, we had to individually go up to the panel and were asked random questions (ex. In a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, which would you be: the peanut butter, jelly, or the bread? And why?) Other questions included performing a dance to see how creative and outgoing and willingness to make a fool of yourself.

Interviewed Nov 2009 in Avondale, AZ (took a day)
The manager of the company had asked me for my previous experience, and my availability. It was very short, and didn't sound promising.
