Interviewed Feb 2011 in Richmond, VA (took 2 days)
I applied online and 2 days later I got an email from a manager to ask me when we could schedule an interview so I scheduled it for the next day at 5:30. He explained and talked more than interviewed me but asked me Why I wanted to work there and if i could sing. He then asked me to sing twinkle twinkle little star.Which was kind of awkard since i wasn't expecting to sing at all. He told me my voice was good and also asked me "would I be able to sing alone if other team members were to be busy." lets just say I hesitated too long. But overall it was short and simple. But he did talk alot. He was kind of funny and I noticed he was from Korea cause he spoke somewhat a little bit of english. but I could understand him well.

Interviewed Jul 2010 in Lagrange Hlds, IL (took a day)
interviewer was incredibly nice however she never gave me her name. i went in to the interview prepared to audition. all i was asked was my availability when i went back to school. she told me training was monday from 4 - 7 and wear all black clothing. she gave me a song list and a preparation sheet. im confused if by training means im hired or if depending on my training i will be hired.

Interviewed Jun 2008 (took a day)
Cold Stone is no longer (at least in this location) all about singing the songs. There was no audition in my case, I just confirmed with the manager that I had a car and would therefore be able to drive to work and also drive my coworkers home. I presented them with a resume which of course helped, but wasn't necessary in the process.
Afterwards, training also only took 1 day.

Interviewed May 2010 in Houston, TX (took a day)
This was my first interview. I'll say right now that it wasn't like anything I expected. The interview was held outside on a hot day, and about 10 people were in the very ethnically diverse group. She began by asking us to introduce ourselves and explaining our means of transportation. Then we were asked to sing a song, tell a joke, or recite something - a performance. So I advise that you muster up more confidence for such tasks. Following the performance we were asked to divide into two groups to create a "tip song". Most members of my group with significantly older than me therefore I was a bit intimidated. Overall I'd say if you're extroverted then this interview will be a breeze.

The manager called me and we scheduled a time for me to come in. On that day, he asked me a few simple questions, asked me what my availability would be, and then asked to to sing a little song for him.

New store applied online about a few days of interviews then store trained for a week before it opened. They pick top mixers and make you work the busiest days which is good because of the amount of tips.

Interviewed Nov 2009 (took a day)
Just walked up while I was filling out application and asked me where had worked before, said she knew the place, asked when I could work and said they would call the next week. Never actually interviewed and then was told to report to work via text message...huh? You're kidding right?!
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
Why would I work for a company who does not interview me nor allow me to interview them. I was told to report to work that night, no discussion of pay, hours, rules, job responsibilities or nothing! Wow is all I can say about that

I applied In-Person.
