Interviewed May 2009 in Sandpoint, ID (took a day)
After 2 pre-screen phone interviews I was flown out to Sandpoint. Overall, the interview process was typical of any company that relocates candidates. They bring you in. You meet with anywhere between 5-10 people depending on the level of the desired position. Either they leave you in a room for a couple of hours where people buzz in & out to interview you or you’re literally office hopping from one person to the next. It's kind of like speed dating for employment. I interviewed with about 9 individuals total, one by one. I wasn't nervous since I'm used to this style of interviewing and enjoy getting a sense of what people are like in other departments. My interviews appeared to be going well until I met with the hiring manager. It was almost immediately clear that she didn't like me or wasn't interested in speaking to me about the role. Then she proceeded to go on and on during the interview about how talented she was and great here ideas are. We interviewed over lunch outdoors where she refuses to make eye contact with me and wore her sunglasses the entire time even though the sun was to her back. In general I thought she was tactless, rude, over bearing and talentless (despite much you’re thought of herself). Anyhow, after three more interviews which were added at the very last minute I was given a project to work. Needless to say I didn't want the role that I was interviewing for but since the 1st opportunity got put on hold I had no other choice. After about a 2 week wait, hr. confirmed my suspicions and I was not offered the role. That was back in 2008. A couple months later a role came up that I was a good fit for and that's when I started.

Interviewed Jan 2011 in DFW, TX (took 3 weeks)
I interviewed with an exquisite person. She is an example of where Coldwater Creek can go. I have read all of the fiscal reports, gossip, etc. I have found on the internet. I am still in the midst of the interview process. I think Coldwater will survive. My interview was much more interesting than I expected! I will update when I know if I get an offer or not. If anyone has any advice - besides staying away from a company that is political because I haven't met one that's not - please feel free to advise! Thanks.

Interviewed Jul 2008 (took 3 weeks)
I had been a previous employee as an assistant manager but left because of personality conflicts with my manager. When the manager was finally fired, I re-applied. The new manager is a gracious person but really didn't give me a tough "interview". I guess my reputation had preceded me, so I pretty much would have had to be totally obnoxious to not be re-hired.

Interviewed Oct 2008 in Sandpoint, ID (took 2 months)
The head of the dept. was compative and very rude, heard her yelling at people outside her office, rolled her eyes at my portfolio, etc. There was an air of interogation than interviewing. She did apologize for her behavior as this would excuse her unprofessionalism. Have heard from other people who had the same experience. This person is still there and has been elvated to a Sr. exec postion, most recently. If this company treats future employees so horribly, how do they treat their current employees/customers?

Interviewed Oct 2009 in Annapolis, MD (took 5 days)
Great interview. It was warm, welcoming, friendly and complete. The manager was very clear about duties, expectations. I explained that the pay was lower than I'd hoped, and she made it really look better when she mentioned very flexible work hours and days and an up to 50% discount on clothes.

Interviewed Jul 2009 in Baton Rouge, LA (took 2+ weeks)
I did some research and talked to former employees. I was told " the District Manager is a micro- mgr not a people developer." also that the company tell their employees who you can and cannot talk too. Very strange. I heard this from a few people.
