Interviewed Sep 2008 in Plano, TX (took 1 week)
The hiring and interview process was quite methodical. It started with a phone interview from the office manager. The interview was then followed up by another phone interview with the owner of CB, Apex. I was then asked to come in for further discussions. I thought the Office Manager and Owner/Broker were very knowledgeable about the industry, nationally and locally. The various tools that they discussed with me and how they have been incorporated to help bring agents more business was quite interesting to me. Many of the agents within my office are very happy to be at CB, Apex. There is a perception by the agents that the Owner/Broker does look out for their best interest. As well, the Owner/Broker has a solid working knowledge of what it takes to be successful as she has grown up in the industry and knows what really works.

Negotiation Details
The negotiation phase was well layed out. The offered me the same commission split as the previous broker with a chance to improve the commission split based on gross closed commissions accumulated during the year. I thought that was really good as the previous broker didn't.
Other Details
I got the interview through an Employee Referral and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview and a 1:1 Interview.
