Recruited for very vague description as a Principal within their captive consulting practice, focused on Program Management. Several phone interviews with many people, over the course of weeks. HR was poor about providing explanations to any step of the process until someone from the consulting practice stepped in to organize the process better -- the consulting division uses the corporate staffing division, and routinely admit it "is challenging". Finally get to final phone interviews and in person interviews for role. Organization was suffering from overall lack of communication, changes in assigned individuals, and challenges on their staffed engagements, all were central themes to the process. HR takes an eternity, and routinely has issues with communication - they want information back immediately, but fail to provide information in as timely a manner.
