The interview process with the hiring manager for a merchandiser is fairly basic. They will go over your past working experience and as with any job interview make sure you understand the responsibilities for the position you are applying for and tailor that to your past work experience. Be positive and up beat and don't be afraid to ask for the position. Basically if your previous work experience reflects similar responsibilities to that of the merchandiser position you shouldn't have a problem landing the position. You must be okay with a flexible work schedule. I liken it to a restaurant schedule in terms of early and late hours outside of that 9-5
