Interviewed Mar 2011 in Plymouth, MI (took 4+ weeks)
Feb 16th I received an email about a General Info Session for the 22nd. I showed up with about 10 other people (was told it was one of 12 groups!) We all went into meet local HR rep. He asked us each the same 3 questions, we filled out a questionnaire with 3 diff questions and asking if we agreed to the hours and pay (11.05 per hour part time). This took about 3 hours! The HR rep left the room, called 2-3 people out that never came back in and then he told us we had passed onto phase 2 of the process. He said he would email us links to take 2 tests, one timed skill test (math), one untimed personality test.
I took the test the next morning (which I wasnt sure how well I did) but within 3 hours I got a call from a different HR rep saying I had passed and to come in for another interview which I thought was going to be one on one. Wrong, another group interview with about 6 people one who I remembered from the first group. This time we were interviewed by the supervisors from each payment center needing employees (3). They asked us each the same 7 or 8 questions. I thought I answered each one very well. This lasted about an hour and half. They then told us this was the last step and we should hear something with 2-3 weeks! On March 17th, I received a thanks but we've decided to go with different candidates letter.
After all that and a promising call back (at least I thought so) I was passed over. Very disheartening, but I'll keep on looking!

Interviewed Aug 2010 in Sterling Heights, MI (took 2+ weeks)
I filled out an app online. I was called back 2 or 3 days later to my surprise. I was called for a General Information session 08-25-10 and we were all asked why we wanted to work for comcast by the HR peeps, and if they liked us enough they emaied us an assessment the same day. I passed the assessment on thursday 08-6-10 and was emailed that I will be scheduled for a group interview for 09-14-10 or 09-15-10. So I am now waiting to be told the date and time of my interview and the date is 09-07-10.

Interviewed May 2010 in Southfield, MI (took 5+ weeks)
Very long process, more than a month. Multiple interviews with employees in several divisions. I was also asked to write a brief essay about my long and short-term career plans. Great HR team that was responsive, up front, and easy to work with.

They don't leave a lot of room for negotiation. They have what they're willing to offer salary-wise pretty set and don't really budge because the other benefits they offer are so great.
Other Details
The interview consisted of a Phone Interview and a 1:1 Interview.

A very corporate long process. First round involves recruiters then I was contacted via email to call a number if I wanted to proceed. Then waited a few weeks for a call for an interview.
