Interviewed Dec 2010 in Huntsville, AL (took a day)
My initial interview was with an HR representative at a job fair where all the other employees were hiring for technical or management/supervisory positions. The next 1:1 interview was with a department manager where my previous supervisory and training experience were discussed. When finally received the job offer it was for an entry level position as a bilking and repair CAE1.

Interviewed Dec 2011 (took 4+ weeks)
Everything was very professional and handled extremely well. I hope to try again and earn a position at this company as I thought they were very personable. Only downside is length of time form one interview to another and the length of time you were kept waiting to see if you would move on in the process.

Interviewed Mar 2010 in Philadelphia, PA (took 2 months)
Submitted my resume to a job posting on the Comcast site. Since the job was a perfect match for my skills, I was contacted within 2 weeks for a brief telephone interview with a Treasury Manager mainly to access my ability to come in for a face-to-face interview with her and boss, the Treasury Director.
I arrived for an early morning interview with the Treasury Manager and Treasury Director. The interview with the Treasury Manager involved mainly discussing my experience and skills, which matched the job description exactly. The interview with the Treasury Director was postponed since she did not show up in the office. I rescheduled with her.
The interview with the Treasury Director was basically a redo of the prior interview with the Treasury Manager, but this time there was a vague discussion regarding salary. I assumed I was within the salary range of the position, but I was not told so. I was told they would contact me regarding a decision.
I sent "Thank You" letters to each person and waited, and waited, and waited. After a few weeks, I inquired about any decision and was told they still had not made any decision. I was given no other feedback. I reiterated my interest in the job and asked if there were any areas of concern or needed clarification. I was given no feedback. So I waited a few more weeks and finally received a generic HR form letter telling me that they had passed. I followed up with the HR Director by telling her that I understand but would sincerely appreciate any feedback that could make me a stronger candidate in the future. She would give me no feedback.
In the end, I found Comcast to act uncordially and unprofessionally, almost as if it were the first time these people had ever hired someone. It soured me on the company and I doubt that I would ever apply there again even though the headquarters is about a mile from my house.

Interviewed Jan 2012 in Tinley Park, IL (took 2 weeks)
I applied online for the position and was contacted by a recruiter who scheduled a phone interview for the following day. After the phone interview, I was invited to what I though would be an interview but was a Group Information Session that lasted 2 hours. It was a thorough explanation of the company and the position. You would think after being there so long you would interview on the spot! Anyway, after the presentation you had to leave your resume where you were sitting and they said we would be contacted within 1-2 weeks for a face-to-face interview. I went on my interview a week later and while waiting in the lobby, employees were talking loudly on their phones and seemed to be horsing around! I took it as a sign that I could shine with my professionalism in the interview. Not the case....After interviewing with the New Hire manager going through a series of customer service scenarios and questions about my background, I was handed a letter stating they appreciated my time and i will be contacted in regards to a decision. At that point I knew I wasn't getting the position...mainly because during the interview he kept referring to my "lack of call center experience' even thoiugh I had a years experience in that position AND the job posting said it required 0-6 months worth of exp....Hope this was a little bit helpful! GOOD LUCK!!

Interviewed Jun 2011 (took 3 days)
A phone interview was conducted a day after I had completed a skills test online. HR person was very pleasant and asked direct but general questions about my experience. I was offered the job over the phone but when I was told the starting pay was only $12 an hour I was disheartened as they would not budge based on my experience. This would be a great job if I was just starting out but at mid-career I could not accept a position that paid 1/3rd what I was earning before. $17-20 was more appropriate and that still would have been a $14 cut in pay but I would have gladly accepted it.
Reason for Declining
Pay was entry level for someone with a college degree and 17 years experience. I make more on Unemployment!
