One hour written technical test on core Java in a room with a dozen other candidates. Company never bothered to let me know if I passed the test so I assume that meant I didn´t pass. It doesn´t take much effort to send candidates an email so not impressed with the company (although the offices are very nice).

Interviewed with two managers for about 30 minutes each, asked basic questions such as "why do you want to work for commerze and tell me about yourself". The office was nice and the corporate culture seemed to be team oriented. I got the interveiw through a recruiter, the feedback I recieved was very positive however I was not offered the position.

I talked to my eventual manager for about 45 minutes, covering topics such as what I was awaiting and what I wanted to do in Frankfurt. Half was to see if I could speak German, the other half to make sure I did my homework on the company and knew what to expect.

First got contacted by a headhunter for the position. Then had a first 30 min call with someone from HR to discuss my background, degrees and motivation for this position. Subsequently I was invited to their office for sort of big day: I had interviews with a director and with one MD. Interviews a long and complicated case study (quite technical). Then I had to do modelling test (cash flow) and also went through a numerical test. I was invited for another round of interviews which consisted mainly of meeting the different members of the team. On overall the process took 4 weeks.

Multiple interviews with HR at first, which were necessary to get access to the people actually hiring. As usual the HR interviews are formulaic and can generally be negotiated via the standard responses to the standard questions: why do you want to work in this bank? Why do you want to work in this area etc?
