I applied online and the process took 3+ weeks - interviewed at Compass Learning in January 2010.

Interview Details – Applied online

First Telephonic : HR Round

. Got the first call by HR , she explained about the position and took my details and my availablity for interview she was nice and pretty understanding and things were smooth from the first call itself

Second Telephonic : Business Manager Round

. After setting up an interview I was interviewed by the lead manager who explained me how the company business model works and ask tons of questions about how I used Salesforce in my current job and in what capacities, Question were some technical and some business understanding. The manager was extremely honest and supporting very scholastic person

Third Telephonic : Technical Round

. Interview was to setup with Technical Lead of the team, I was asked tricky questions about technical operations I performed, we had strong discussion on how I manage achieve the task I was given. Like integration of marking tool with existing cloud from scratch to deployment- overall the interview was very informing to both of us its like knowledge sharing and i completely enjoyed the discussion (which was remarkably brainstorming )

In two day, I received another call from the manager asking for to come down to Austin.

Next morning I reached for 1:1 interview and meat with 4 different members of the company - started at 8 am in the morning

1. Project Manager - outstanding person, extremely helpful and make the things much smoother (30 mins)

2. IT Lead - sound with technical knowledge, was asked to fix the real time bug in Apex and some Salesforce related questions ( 1 hour)

Lunch Break - was offered lunch and everybody was so healthy and welcoming 12 -1 ( 1 hour lunch)

3. Database Operation Lead- was asked to design the complex join and query it and optimize the existing stored procedure and some tricky question database (basically tested how good i can handle data) (50 mins)

4. Design Team - Asked to inform what I did from the design point of view and how good I was with the front end - basically front -end development experience. - get yourself prepared for some java-script, css and html questions (mostly was focused on MVC) - end of the day they test how smooth you are to work with front-end design team (25 mins)

5. Business manager - He discussed about my experience working closely with business team ( tested my compatibility with business team) I felt here I sealed the deal (35 mins)

Flew back to home, all the charge for cab, taxi and hotel was completely reimbursed (was at airport by 3 pm)

Got a respond in two days after I reached back to home - the offer was competitive and outstanding provided with bonus and nice work culture

I completely realized why this is awarded as best company to work for in city Austin

  • How you manage the to integrate legacy system to Sales Cloud   Answer Question
  • Explain the difficulties you came across and possible fix , how do you perform data cleaning in Salesforce   Answer Question
  • Given a case and asked to write a bulk trigger optimizing the code using data structure in Apex   Answer Question
  • Technical Question on writing SOQL and designing an more focus was on Database - complex join in SQL Server (any database you worked on) ask to fix the real-time bug in Apex and one or two question on VisualForce   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – Negotiation call was made by manager , in first round he asked my expectation and after finishing 1:1 round in person the offer was made two days after I arrived back to home
