I had been consulting as a project manager on a contract basis, and was asked to contribute to a RFQ response, to which I was asked to include myself. When we won the competitive bid, I was asked to interview for the position I had helped to develop in our proposal. My competency set and work ethic and personal workstyle were pretty well iknown at that point. A couple of meetings withe Regional Director and Program Director provided some background on the position, which is a hybrid of several skills sets with an emphasis on retail automotive consulting. Very professional, very pleasant process, with a lot of emphasis on culture and commitment to client service.

Interview process went ok except I had to wait 2 months before getting an assignment. The recruiter was helpful, calling weekly to give an update. Then when I received the assignment it wasn't anything to do with what I hired in for.

Process was 2 Step but done in the same day. I was interviewed by the Project Manager. Questions were in the format of one liner which is different than what I have ever gone through
1) What are the 3 most common EJB 3.0 annotations in respect to generators
2) which JSP Tag library will take care of the dates
3) what is the exact syntax on the deployement descriptor for security tag
4) what are the different kind of relationships in Database
and some more
