I applied through a staffing agency and the process took 3 days - interviewed at ConAgra Foods.
Interview Details – The process was pretty standard. Submitted resume, was called for an interview. The interview was not long. He asked pretty standard interview questions, like what you had done in the past, if you had factory experience, etc. Didn't seem like he really cared about the inteview, I had the feeling that as long as I could walk and breath I would have been hired. He did ask if I was willing to accept the starting wage.
Interview Question – For me, it's always the "where do you expect to be in the next 5 years". Answer Question
I applied online and the process took 1+ week - interviewed at ConAgra Foods.
Interview Details – Submitted an application online after hearing about the position at school. HR called and scheduled interview.
Interview Question – The interview was with 4 people rotating in. Each represented a different area the position would interface with. So the questions varied depending on the person/department area. The questions centered around Where do you see yourself in 5 years. How do you handle conflict, how do you stay focused and organized and being able to articulate what you want specifically and concisely. Answer Question
I applied online and the process took 3+ weeks - interviewed at ConAgra Foods in August 2013.
Interview Details – I was actually told in my phone interview that "frankly, we really are looking for someone young and right out of school who we can mold." Not very appropriate (or legal?) as I was in my 50s and met all of the qualifications, which did require some years of experience. It was not an intern job!
Interview Question – As noted above--it really was a challenge to respond to basically being told I was too old as it was rather shocking given how illegal/discriminatory it was! Answer Question
Very Easy Interview

Initial screening will be a phone call with the HR Manager.
If selected to proceed, you will be flown to Waterloo for an interview with the entire management team.
These interviews will be panel interviews of 2 to 3 managers.
Typically the interviews are discussions, the team is gauging your fit, drive, and team building
The interviews seem stressful for both sides, but the team there is excellent. Don't over explain answers. Be prepared for the Quality standard question "Did you ever give feedback for a purchase in which you were not happy?"
Interview Question – The questions that are posed will be straight forward, do not hesitate to ask for clarification. I don't think anything asked is unexpected. The difficult questions will be around your future state and how you would drive the engineering team. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – Be open in the negotiations, this team is very straight forward and does not like to play games.

Very Difficult Interview
I applied through a recruiter and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at ConAgra Foods in June 2013.
Interview Details –
The hiring process was very extensive I had 4 interviews- the final being a panel interview of five people. They utilized the STAR method. Each question you had to integrate your Situation, Task, Action, Result- all had to be incorporated into your answer.
Background check was thorough. Here are examples of two questions:
Give me a specific example of a time when a co-worker criticized your work in front of others. How did you respond? How has that event shaped the way you communicate with others?
Interview Question –
Tell me about a time when you failed to meet a deadline. What things did you fail to do? What were the
repercussions? What did you learn? Answer Question

Interview Details – My interview process was quick and painless. I received phone calls on or before the timeframes they set with me. I went through two phone interviews and one in-person, and the in-person interview allowed me the great opportunity to meet HR, management, and senior members of the team. I greatly appreciated the experience, and would recommend it to anyone.
Interview Question – The most unexpected question was "Why is a manhole cover round?" I must have known a satisfactory answer. I appreciated how it made me think and reason around an issue. Answer Question
