Interviewed Mar 2010 (took 3 months)
First contact is via phone with HR, then a telephonic interview and then you're invited to do a presentation and lay out your plans for your first 90 days at Concur. If all goes well you will get a job offer and you have to provide a lot of information about yourself including your salary slips of the last couple of years and you have to allow them to have an external organisation do a background check on you. It's a very lengthy and difficult process exemplifying what they are like to do business with: difficult and tough.

I was promised some fringe benefits and they were even confirmed in writing via e-mail but up until today I still haven't seen any realized. Also make sure that your variable pay is confirmed as that has a tendency to change (downward) once on-board. All in all not very trustworthy nor appreciative.

I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, a Group/Panel Interview, a Presentation and a Background Check.

Interviewed Jan 2012 (took 4+ weeks)
I initially applied to the position online through the company website and received an email about 3 weeks later to setup a phone screen. I responded with my availability and the phone screen with the recruiter was setup for the next day and lasted 45 minutes.
I heard back the next day via email to set up another phone interview with the hiring manager for the following week. This phone interview lasted 45 minutes and focused mostly on the part of my experience that would be most compatible to the position I was applying for.
At the end of this call, the hiring manager said they would like to bring me in for an in person half day interview. I would be meeting with the hiring manager for 45 minutes, followed by a panel interview with 3 of my would be colleagues/team members the following week. The in person interviews were not easy but not overly difficult either. Everyone was very friendly and it was apparent to me all the way throughout the process that they really were looking for the right candidate for the position and a good culture fit for the company.
After this meeting was done, I received an email the next day from the recruiter stating that the feedback was positive and they would like me to do an online demo through webex for the hiring manager and the rest of the team that sells this product every day to see my presentation skills. I would have a week to study the product through a free trial account that I created. The presentation was 35 minutes and took place 8 days after it was scheduled and everyone on the call was very open, friendly and honest with their feedback.
I followed up with the recruiter 6 days later and that day I was scheduled on a call with the VP of Sales for a final interview in a few days. Three days later I received the offer.
Although this was a very grueling and thorough interview process, I enjoyed it very much. Everyone was very hospitable, upbeat and made me feel like I would be joining of a group of colleagues that I would look forward to working with every day and I am excited for the opportunity.

Interviewed Dec 2011 (took 1 week)
Two phone interviews, one with an HR person, and one with the hiring manager. HR screen was typical -- asked for a walkthrough of the recent jobs on my resume. HR person stated that I met the qualifications, and that I would be moving on to the next phase -- a brief phone call with the hiring manger. The phone interview with the hiring manager was scheduled for 45 minutes, and seemed rushed to me. An extra 15 minutes would have served both the hiring manager and me better. This seemed like a bit of a rehash of the HR screening, just a slightly deeper dive into my experience. Rumor has it that the position was filled by an internal candidate. I get the sense that the hiring manager needed to talk to an external candidate before he could offer the job to the internal candidate.
Overall, the experience was friendly and professional, with no difficult questions.

Interviewed Jan 2012 in Redmond, WA (took 1+ week)
After completing my application in November, I was contacted by a recruiter in late December for an initial phone interview. This was followed up by two more phone interviews - asked mostly behavioral questions about my experiences listed on my resume. Have not heard anything since the third phone interview.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Redmond, WA (took a day)
Concur had a contractor conduct phone interview screens. It was very odd. I'm a minority, and the interviewer was actually disappointed when I had experience and education in a particular area. When he asked me if I had management experience, I noted my prior management jobs and he said, "oh, I didn't know you had management experience..." It was on my resume, with title, company, and length of job noted. When I described my experience and my degrees and certifications, he actually sounded disappointed as if he were going down a check list and now, possibly, he'd have to check the box. He didn't seem to have read my resume at all.
I got the impression he called me just to say he interviewed a woman. He asked no technical questions nor "how would you handle" questions.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Eden Prairie, MN (took 1+ week)
I have interviewed with Concur twice now, and both times the company has proven to be very unprofessional. I actually did receive an offer after my first interview, but it was for a role that my recruiter and I decided that I was over qualified for, so i pursued a couple of roles that had more responsibilities. After being offered a job just below these, I could not even get a phone interview to discuss the others and no one would return my emails or phone calls. Eventually, I just forgot about Concur. Fast forward to December 2011. The perfect position that was a hybrid of the others I was going for at different companies, was posted on the Concur website. I fit all the qualifications and nailed the phone interview. My interview was supposed to be 2 hrs and 15 mins long, so I prepared for 3 whole days for it. When I arrived, the schedule had changed and I met with Regions Sales Director first. This lady starts off the interview admitting to me how unprepared she is and that she has been gone for 2 weeks. Great! I'm glad I prepared 3 days for this crap. She was clearly super crabby and wanted to be at home. Throughout the interview she was sending/receiving instant messages and was pulling questions out of thin air. It was a joke. After our scheduled 45 minutes was up, she said she got an instant message from the other two gentleman I was supposed to meet with, and both were tied up on an important phone call. Obviously, I was pretty upset that I spent 3 days preparing for an interview that lasted 45 minutes and of those 45 minutes, every single second was wasted. The lady who interviewed me said I would hear back right away from HR to schedule phone interviews with the two gentlemen that would suffice. 3 days later I received an email from the lady I interviewed with stating (exactly) this:
"I was working with the HR team to get your next interviews scheduled and after looking back at my notes I regret to inform you that we will not be moving forward with your application. While you have some great experience and I wish you the best in your career I have decided to go with another applicant.
Thank you for your time and I wish you the best in your pursuit."
Her notes! I wonder what they said? Where am I? Home!! who is sitting in front of me? Sleep!! vacation...probably something like that.
I was robbed and cheated by Concur. They stole 3 hrs and 45 BRUTAL minutes of my life. I would recommend looking elsewhere for employment.

Interviewed Oct 2010 in Redmond, WA (took 3 weeks)
The interview process for the Concur Breeze Sales rep started with a phone interview with the recruiter. After the phone interview I filled out a 100 question personality test. A week after the first interview I had a phone interview with the manager of the sales team I applied for, at the end of the interview I was scheduled for a 1/2 day interview the following week.
1/2 Day interview:
- 1:1 interview with the manager
- I gave a 15 min demo of the product, they ask you to spend time on the free trail in order to prepare for the interview.
- Panel interview with the team
- Closing interview with the recruiter
After the 1/2 day interview I was scheduled a phone interview with the VP of sales.

Interviewed May 2011 in Redmond, WA (took 1 week)
The Phone screen was easy and it went through well. The half-day 1:1 interviews went well too. The technical questions asked were not difficult at all - mostly around writing a simple query or writing a simple class. The behavioral questions are probably given more importance than the technical ones - one possible reason the interview didn't result in an offer.
