Interviewed Nov 2011 in Laurel, MD (took 4+ weeks)
Turnover his constant at this company, and they have hiring quotas, but they won't hire someone who seems unintelligent. They look for sharp people who LIKE overtime - lots of it.

Interviewed Apr 2012 (took a day)
I first found out about Consolidated Graphics at my campus' job fair. I met with two friendly recruiters who were actually in the Leadership Development Program themselves. After talking with them, I scheduled an on-campus interview with them later in the month. At the on-campus interview, I was 1:1 with a LDP Associate and she asked me the very basic interview questions. After I nailed the interview, I received an email the following day that informed me that I had qualified for an on-site interview. I chose to interview at a company in Maryland as it was closest to me. At the on-site interview I had a series of interviews (1:1 with operations manger and a panel interview with other LDP Associates).
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
I declined to continue with the hiring process because I was not satisfied with what the company had to offer. The location of the job was terrible, the compensation was extremely low, even for an entry-level job, and the benefits were almost non-existent.
Other Details
The interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview and a Group/Panel Interview.

Interviewed Apr 2012 (took a day)
The second step in the recruiting process consists of an on-site interview. It lasts from 9am-2pm. You interview with all of the managers at the location you interview at, tour the office, meet and interview with all associates at the same time, have lunch with a couple of them, and then interview with the president. Long drawn out interview process all in one day. Kind of sucks doing all of that and then not getting hired, but good luck!

Interviewed Mar 2012 in Durham, NC (took 2 weeks)
I interviewed first through my university, then was flown out to the Durham location after I expressed interest in relocating to North Carolina. The associates were very nice and when they picked me up from the airport and made me feel very comfortable and seemed excited that I was there. During the interview, the hiring managers seemed very disorganized in their questions and didn't have a clear path as to where the interview was supposed to go. They seemed very pleasant but had a hard time answering my questions about the company.

Interviewed Jan 2012 in Dallas, TX (took 3 weeks)
The two recruiters I spoke with were very nice and helpful in the interview process. They were both still within the LDP phase themselves, but were very knowledgeable about the company, which conveyed to me the effectiveness of the LDP. The organizational culture seems relaxed and centered around teamwork, and made me feel valuable with the time and training they were willing to invest in me. Relevant work experience should be your most important consideration when it comes to working for consolidated graphics. Experience and hard work is definitely what i plan to get out of this job in order to be competitive in the future.

Negotiation Details
From what I've heard they don't negotiate on salary. The recruiter told me that they are basically paying for you to learn all about the commercial printing business from the ground up the first 3 years. I believe that once they feel like you've learned everything that is required in order to start making contributions to their company, thats when you should expect to realize some kind of raise and/or promotion.

I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Columbia, SC (took 1+ week)
Not a bad interview, most of it is situational quesitons, and the interviewers telling you about the company, and what exactly you will be doing. Want potential employees to know it is a hard working enviroment with opportunity, but hard work first.

Interviewed May 2011 (took a day)
My interviewer was over 15 minutes late to a 30 minute interview. She continued to state how frustrated she was that other people made her late and took no responsibility. Then I felt like she was convincing me out of the job because I was over qualified. It was all very strange. I was offered a follow up interview, but have not pursued it due to the lack of professionalism in the interview.

Normally, you either have a phone interview or an on campus interview. The next step is an onsite interview with the company you would like to start with. During this interview, you will have a round table interview with upper management and associates followed by a one-on-one interview with the president.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Seattle, WA (took 1 week)
I saw the CGX recruiters at a College Jobs Fair and wasn't at first interested because they seemed to be looking for hard labor. The next day I received a text message from them saying they were impressed and wanted to schedule an interview. I didn't reply then I received an email prompting me to go online and schedule an interview. I still didn't do that so a couple of weeks latter I got call from a recruiter asking me to come in for a 1:1 interview with a president and I said sure why not, got nothing to lose. The interview was pretty standard, just asked to tell a little bit about myself and mainly wanted to make sure that I understood that the first year of the program would be manual labor and that I wasn't intimidated by that. Halfway through the interview he invited me to come in for an on site interview at their plant next week.
