Interviewed Jan 2012 (took 3 weeks)
The whole procedure was really compacted, after I submit my applications for two days I got an invitation for a telephone interview, which was arranged on week later. For another week later, I got the invitation to their assessment center for the final round interview. Though the interview wasn't successful, the whole procedure was pleasant.

Interviewed Jan 2012 in Hannover (Germany) (took 5 weeks)
It started of with a telephonic interview, which was later followed by an invitation to their facility in Hannover for the assessment center. The assessment center consisted of 6 different tasks each testing your capability as a teamplayer, solver, leader. Out of the six tasks, 3 of them were individual tasks (case study, interview (also basic technical), self presentation). The rest 3were merely how you perform in a group (Group discussion, construction exercise, problem solving). They evaluate based on the six competency model approach (Change, Drive, Interaction, Knowledge, Learning, Vision). Make sure you stress on these SIX points in your interview if you want to ace the interview.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Hannover (Germany) (took 5 weeks)
I found out about their R&D program at a college career fair, where I got interviewed. It was only a behavioral interview. I then got a phone interview with someone from Germany a couple weeks later and there again it was behavioral just to see if my personality fit the program.
Finally, there was an Assessment Center which consisted of a presentation and other exercises such as construction, negotiation, and case study.

Interviewed Aug 2011 (took 5 weeks)
The interview started with the HR giving a very lucid description of the various business units, their products, departments and so on. Then she asked some general questions about my earlier experience and why I was applying to them.
The technical interview was done by 2 people. They asked me everything about project management starting from how I would plan a project, to the team roles, deciding on number of resources, and also complex issues like dealing with a customer reported bug, handling problems in meeting the schedule and so on.
