Delivery Driver Interview

Delivery Driver
Bakersfield, CA

I applied in-person and the process took 1+ week - interviewed at Core-Mark in January 2012.

Interview Details – If you have all your ducks in a row, valid CDL, pass background check, and accept the job, you're hired. You don't have to speak English, be a team player, or even care about anything except getting the product delivered, and not costing the company any money. Thus, the high turnover, lack of communication, and poor management.

Interview Question – Will you start tomorrow?   View Answer

Negotiation Details – They don't care. Tell em you can do it, and you're hired.

I applied online and interviewed at Core-Mark.

Interview Details – Pretty laid back. No stupid behavioral questions. No dopey tests given.

HR will call initially. Then contacted by an Area Sales Manager. (both of them are nice people.)

Then you travel to meet the Area Sales Manager in person.

Then you go to PA to meet the GSM.

Interview Question – They are looking for someone who can get the job done and sell sell sell. But it was a laid back interview environment.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – They are flexible. It depends on your experience. They have the money to pay. It just depends on what your background is. Did you come over from a competitor...they would like that. Remember, they have the money to pay allot.
