Interviewed Apr 2012 in Arlington, VA (took 2 weeks)
Standard phone interview with someone in HR who was probably 2 years out of school and was looking for certain buzzwords. Standard questions. She was unable to answer ANY of my questions about the position. Literally not a single one. Yet she was the gatekeeper to the next round in the process. Maddening.

Interviewed Apr 2012 in Arlington, VA (took 2 weeks)
I was referred to the company by a director. I was contacted almost immediately to set up a phone interview which consisted of very basic behavioral questions. It was about 30 minutes in length. I was then directed to take 2 online assessments: one skills and one personality. About a week after completing those I was contacted to set up a face to face interview approximately one week later. I arrived and was interviewed by 2 directors of different divisions. The interview was, again, largely behavioral. Questions consisted of "Tell me about a time when...." what did you do, and what was the outcome. The interviewers were quite friendly and personable. I did not receive an offer, but was informed via phone call in a short amount of time (2 days)

Interviewed Jun 2011 in Arlington, VA (took a day)
I was contacted by a recruiter in Sept 2011 for a phone interview. I thought the position sounded very interesting, so I agreed to take an online test. The assessment took about an hour and consisted of patterns recognition presumably to test analytical capacity. Once I completed this I was contacted again and asked to come in for an interview. I agreed and was looking forward to learning about the position, company, and people. I was disappointed when I discovered almost nothing about the position or exactly what I would be doing. I didn't get the impression that I'd enjoy working with or learn much from any of the managers, except for perhaps one. I got the impression that the corporate culture was high-stress and that they valued performance and not training or developing their workers. This did not seem to be a place to learn, grow and advance whatsoever. In the end it was my fault for not having done the research sufficiently to know this would be a miserable place to work. So I took half a day from work for interviews lasting more than three hours, not to mention the test and back and forth with recruiters. In the end, I found it was enormously rude [and also very telling of their treatment of workers!] to request me to spend time taking a test and interview without ever following up. Naturally, I was disappointed that the recruiters didn't keep their word to be in touch because I was so looking forward to letting them know I would never work for an organization such as theirs.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Arlington, VA (took 2 weeks)
The intial phone interview went well with the recruiter. When I went in for an in-person interview, it felt very disorganized. I had to wait at the front desk for about 30 minutes because they had either forgot I was coming or were really busy. The interview process was the normal behavior questions. I was interviewed by two people whom, took turns asking me questions. I tried to be professional but friendly and the whole time I felt like they were being a little too "chill" during the process. Maybe it was a tactic of theirs to continuely distrupt me and try to take me off track. I'm not sure, but I was definitely in for a surprise when I went into the interview.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Arlington, VA (took 1 week)
CEB uses a behavioral model for the interviewing questions. So rather than, "what are your strengths & weaknesses?" they ask you to describe certain situations, i.e. "Describe a time when you had a difficult customer who said no at first, but you found a way to convince him to buy."

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Arlington, VA (took 6 weeks)
After applying for the position I was e-mailed to schedule a phone interview. That phone interview was postponed 2 weeks. After a successful phone interview, I was asked to take the online assessment, which was a patterns test (you cannot study in advance). Then I was asked to come in for 2 behavioral interviews and one case interview. The behavioral interviews were standard and the case was relatively easy compared to other consulting firms (no math!). Unfortunately, I was not given an offer.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Arlington, VA (took 3 months)
The people, office, and work culture of the Corporate Executive Board seemed all very positive. The interview process did take a long time and it took a while for them to get back with me after the interview. Unfortunately, I was not offered a position.

Interviewed Feb 2011 in Arlington, VA (took 2 weeks)
First went through a phone interview with a recruiter. Typical behavioral questions about experiences you have especially with sales related experience. Discussed jobs on resume. Once you pass the phone interview, they invite you to a day long final interview in Arlington. Take a tour of the building, shadow a worker for about an hour, give you lunch and have a panel interview with two people. Interview was situational/behavioral. Asked many open-ended questions that describe your past experience such as "describe a time when you disagreed with someone. what did you do? did you persuade him/her to your side?." Offer extended a week later.

Interviewed Feb 2011 in Arlington, VA (took 3 weeks)
I first had to apply online. I was then contacted by an HR member to set up a phone interview. After the phone interview I was e-mailed a line to complete an online assessment. I felt like the process was fairly routine and normal. If selected to move forward after the assessment, you will be contacted by HR again.
