Interviewed Feb 2011 (took a day)
A generic interview by most standards though they were very interested in the details of my content knowledge and job functions at my previous employers. Fairly formal, but not uncomfortable. If you’ve had another job be prepared to discuss your responsibilities, how you handled the responsibilities, how they fit into the bigger picture, and how this will make you a good candidate at CEB.

Interviewed Dec 2010 in Arlington, VA (took 2 months)
I applied to CEB through on-campus recruiting. The interview was fairly straight-forward. first interview was one on one with a recruiter basic personality test, asked me about when XYZ, and some knowledge of the current business world. after I passed the first round the recuirter sent me several documents and asked me to write a sample exercise of one of their research cases. I passed that and was invited to interview with them in Arlington. Interview day consisted mainly of learning about the company and the benefits. Only one actual case interview, fairly simple. Everyone seemed really nice and from what I saw it looked like a great company to work for.

Interviewed Jan 2011 in Singapore (Singapore) (took 3 weeks)
Had a call from the recruiter and was invited to do a summary based on an article. Unfortunately, i was informed that they are moving forward with other applications. Guess my summaries were not up to standard.

Interviewed Aug 2010 in Washington, DC (took 2 days)
I started by applying online, and received an email from a recruiter a few weeks later. We set up a phone interview, and it lasted around 20-30 minutes. I then was contacted a few days later with a form email informing me that they had filled the positions.

Interviewed Apr 2010 (took 2 months)
What an enormous waste of time. Interviewed first with HR. Two weeks or so later was sent a writing evaluation to complete. Second interview with Research Manager, which went very, very well. 2 weeks later get a message from HR to schedule final interview with senior associates "ASAP" and "tomorrow if possible." I called back, left a message, and did not hear back, so I called again to follow-up. Spoke to HR, who took TEN DAYS to schedule another interview. Had two interviews with three different people, none of who had been in the division very long, and all of who seemed to be reading down a list of interview questions and paying absolutely no attention to what I said. I knew it was not going well and tried to steer the direction of the interview several times, but to no avail.
Got a form rejection email two weeks later.
What a ridiculous process.

Interviewed Aug 2007 in Washington, DC (took 2 days)
This was a fairly straight-forward behavioral interview. Talk about a time when, etc. One interesting and slightly different question was: Name a piece of conventional and why that might not be right. I was also give a case where I had to think like a brand manager, and make a decision to continue or abandon a product
