Interview Details –
You cannot get an interview JUST by putting in an online application. You MUST make personal contact with a manager either in person or by phone.
I had 3 interviews, 2 standing at the end of a checkout line and one in the manager's office. They asked very generic HR questions, and the interviews lasted less than 5 minutes.
Interview Question – The last manager asked me to tell him something none of the other interviewees had told him....something about myself that would make me a good Costco employee. Well, I'm not sure how he thought I'd know what the other people had told him! Ridiculous thing to say. View Answer
Negotiation Details – nothing.

I was called for an interview, took some basic test and called back for a second
interview, given a onsite breathalyzer drug test. I filled out forms and read some
company policy statements, which I had to sign. I was told of my starting date
and reminded that it was not a permanent position.
Negotiation Details – It was non negotiable.

The girl asked questions from a form. i.e...tell me about a time when you didn't get along with another employee; tell me about a time when you volunteered at a job. At age 56, this was the 1st interview in over 20 years. Did not expect these types of questions at all.

It is a bit of a cattle call they do for the holidays. 2 managers combine 1st and 2nd interviews by taking turns asking questions. Online applications are dumped at the end of each month so you have to keep applying until called.
