Interviewed Feb 2012 in San Mateo, CA (took a day)
I had a 1-hour phone interview with the Product Manager, consisting of a few technical questions from the Head Developer and a design challenge (prepared in advance), with follow-up questions challenging my design solution. The interviewer was very courteous and easy to talk to, and offered to give me some professional advice after I failed to make it to the next round. Turns out I was under-qualified for the position, but overall it seems like Coupa is a very robust company with down-to-earth people.

I really appreciated the openness and directness of the interview process at Coupa. After I submitted my resume I had a couple of phone calls with the hiring manager that were a mix of background / skill set questions and get-to-know-me / cultural fit questions. After the initial phone screens I came into the office where I had an interview with my VP and CEO (who was remote) to talk through the expectations of the position, what I could bring to Coupa, and what my plans would be beyond my original position description. My advice to other potential interviewers would be to come into these interviews prepared to demonstrate what value you can add to Coupa beyond just fulfilling the description on the req.
