Interviewed May 2012 in New York, NY (took a day)
Was contacted by Credit Suisse recruiter, position was for a Sr. WPF Developer, sounded interesting, so forwarded resume. Had initial conversation with CS HR the next day, and phone interview the week after. Interviewer was cordial, questions consisted of some GC, threading, and database questions, mostly simple questions, and a few obscure questions, and as well as trick questions. Thought interview was going well until interviewer started asking the trick questions

Pleasant experience with the interview process but I believe I did not get the role due to the economic conditions in the market.

Interviewed Jan 2011 in New York, NY (took a day)
they interview was very technical. They asked about stocks you would invest in and why. they also asked about how you felt about the future of the economy and where the S&P will be in a year. They randomly asked you about current events that were going on in the US and how you felt about them. Very tough for a first round intern position

Interviewed Sep 2011 in New York, NY (took 1+ week)
Went to interview, along with 2 other candidates, to do a round robin with 3 directors. Interviews went really well. Questions mostly focused on personality and past experience, but they didn't hesitate to pry deeper on anything you said relating to courses, etc.
Was fairly confident in receiving an offer, however CS never reached back. I followed up, phone, email, and nothing. Apparently they went on a "hiring freeze" while new layoffs were going on, however I was really disappointed with the lack of professionalism to at least respond to my inquiries about the status of the position -- being that I was a final candidate.

felt like the culture of the bank was cut throat and everyone is out there to try and make money, which seemed like as far as I can tell the only objective of the employees there

Interviewed May 2010 in New York, NY (took 3 weeks)
initially had 3 phone calls. basic background questions and why you're interested in investment banking. then went to their office in New York for four one-on-one interviews of about 30 minutes each. some interviewers seemed more interested in business experience, calculus skills, financial analysis and accounting skills more than others. some very specific questions about financial statements. others were more interested in motivation and personality type.

Interviewed Feb 2012 in New York, NY (took 1 week)
Had applied from the career management services on campus, and got a call for 1st round of interview on campus. within 3 days, got a call for the Super Day at credit suisse campus, and super day consisted of a pre interview lunch with other interns and interviewers. had 3 rounds of one on one interview and all of the question were on behavioral fit. No technical question, all there interviewers asked me to walk through the resume and all same behavioral question.
the interview was pretty good and neat, more like a conversation. May be i was too much focusing on Java as my preference could be a reason for rejection. Else was smooth and easy flowing interview.

Interviewed Feb 2012 in New York, NY (took a day)
First round on campus with the interview being half hour. All fit questions such as tell me about yourself, tell me about xyz on your resume. How do you deal with difficult people? What makes you unique and how would you rate your Excel skills? I was invited to final round for interviews at their office, but declined. Overall the interview was laid back and the interviewer was really nice.
