Interviewed May 2010 in Boulder, CO (took 4 months)
I was referred to CP+B's internal recruiting staff via personal contacts. I first had 1 or 2 phone interviews with recruiting and was then brought in for some informal interviews with the content team. At that time, there were no positions available at my level, but they wanted to get to know me. I was flown back several months later for formal interviews, at which point they took fantastic care of me. I loved how well thought out everything was - from my concierge pickup at the airport, to a welcome kit in the hotel, tours from friendly people, and genuinely interesting interviews. I had an offer and started work within 10 days.

Interviewed Aug 2011 in Boulder, CO (took 5 days)
Had several phone interviews with various leadership inside the technology world. Then was flown out for an all day interview, ended up talking to about 6 people. I was put up in a hotel and treated well the entire time out there. The interviews where both personality based and technical. I wasn't asked to do any direct programming instead it was general programming knowledge. If you don't know the answer to a question, then say you don't but also tell them how you would go about finding and ultimately solving the problem.

Quick and painless. All employers will try and low ball you on the first offer. Why would they pay more then they have to. But you have to be confident in your skills and ask for what you want. I would actually recommend asking for more then what you want. I ask for more by the amount they were under what I wanted. so if you want 75K and they have 65K counter with 85K.
Also remember, it can't hurt to ask to include things when you are hired on.

Interviewed May 2010 in Boulder, CO (took 2 months)
Initial communication was a LinkedIn cold-call style message from and internal recruiter. Spoke with this person on the phone and flew out to Boulder a few days later. As is typical, did a full day of interviews with a variety of accounts and levels of staff. Recruiter followed up the next week expressing their interest but they didn't have a position for me at that time. She kept in contact with me and I was offered a position about 6 weeks later. The back and forth was frustrating but eventually worth it.

Interviewed Jul 2010 in Boulder, CO (took a day)
I was contacted by an HR person to have me flown out in a matter of days to Boulder. They took care of everything from hotel to a driver. They were really hospitable. CPB looks cool, but it seems like a factory as everyone says. I met with 9 people throughout the day and it was kind of a rush from running around from office to office. Everyone kind of mentioned the same stuff...long crazy hours and not much of a personal life, but stood by the work which was nice to hear. Also, there is a bit of ego when you speak of the work at other agencies you might admire, which I guess is how they were drawing me in. They also speak of how integrated their production department is, but then mentioned everyone in the end specializes in one a facet of production, be it video, print, or digital. It thew me off a little. I would've love to be working there to see what it's all about, but kind if glad I didn't get an offer.

Interviewed Jan 2011 in Boulder, CO (took 4+ weeks)
I first got an email from them about 2 weeks before the internship would start; I had a phone interview later that week and then the rejection at the end.
The woman who interviewed me was rude. I was rushed the whole time after she called me 15 minutes late. She also asked me if I knew if there was a difference between marketing and advertising...seriously.
My advice: suck up. When they ask what the better ads are today, say all of theirs.

Interviewed Nov 2010 in Boulder, CO (took 6 weeks)
The woman on the phone was very rude to me when I was asking her questions, like "How many hours do you work?" She replied to my question with a question, which i HATE. Overall she was snappy and condescending, which I cant respect. Not a good impression with the company at all.

Interviewed Oct 2010 in Boulder, CO (took 4 weeks)
I was contacted by email to set up an interview. Was flown to Boulder a few weeks later. First person that interviewed me was totally incompetant, others were rushed and one cancelled. Great environment but sour taste in my mouth from being put on the backburner during the process. Also, they talked way more about themselves than asked me questions so no need to actually prepare.

Interviewed Jul 2010 in Boulder, CO (took 2 weeks)
Pretty fast, initial screening phone interview (20 minutes). Be prepared for a LONG day. I interviewed with at least 10 people over the course of 4.5 hours. Exhausting, you meet one person for the many departments you will be working with to make sure you "mesh".
Negotiation Details
Yes, they were open to salary given the demands of the company learned after the interview but no negotiation on vacation which was poor.
Other Details
The interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview and a Group/Panel Interview.
