Interviewed Nov 2011 in South Bend, IN (took 5 days)
The two people I interviewed with were really nice and willing to answer any questions I had about Crowe. I initially applied online and received a call from a recruiter a few days later to schedule an interview. It consisted of two 1:1 interviews where they asked mostly behavioral type questions.. "Tell me a time when..." If you're confident in your answers, and know how to tie in different situations into your answers you'll do fine.

Interviewed Nov 2011 (took 2 weeks)
Applied for the job online. Received a Phone interview. The phone interview consisted of behavioral questions. The next day I was invited to an office visit. The first night was a recreational night. The next day was the actual office visit. Which consisted of 1 interview and multiple presentations and QA. The interview was more of a conversation. The culture is wonderful. They seem to really care about their employees. Which is something that is not seen too often. Especially during a recession.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Indianapolis, IN (took 3 weeks)
I was invited to an on-campus interview where I interviewed with 2 Crowe associates in a 1-on-1 setting for 30 minutes each. The first 30 minute interview was with a project manager who asked some behavioral questions, but also talked about the job. The second 30 minute interview consisted of purely behavioral questions.
I then got called for an office visit a few days later. There was a pre-night event before the office visit, which consisted of a night out at a bowling alley, which served as an opportunity to talk to a few of the Crowe consultants that were there.
The next morning was the office visit. It included a presentation and a few group panels that discussed first-year hire experiences, projects, and training. There were 1-on-1 interviews going on throughout the day with managers.

Interviewed Oct 2011 (took a day)
I submitted my resume to the employer on campus job fair for the IT auditing consultant position because my background was IT and computer science. After five or 1 week later, they emailed me that there would be a campus interview 10 days later. The interview had two consecutive sessions. Although I applied to the IT position, the interviewers seemed to have both business-related consultant. My feeling after the interviews was that they more focused on how to communicate efficiently and proficiently, and how to deal with the deadline, and so on. They did not ask like solving a problem or creating a solution with some IT background or algorithm.

Interviewed Oct 2011 (took a day)
The interview consisted of 2 one on one interviews back to back. The first one was more experience based to learn about your past jobs and school work. The second one was strictly behavior based that required the basic STAR answers. Be sure to study the company and learn what they are looking for in their candidates.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Livingston, NJ (took 3 days)
I had a first round interview on campus. It was an hour long- two different 1-on-1 interviews with partners or managers. Entirely behavioral so have plenty of stories ready.
I must have impressed them somehow because I was invited to the second (and final) round. It included a networking event, which was kinda fun but very loud and kind of unorganized. Realized then that they mostly hire from small, private colleges. Kind of incestuous acutally. Many of them had friends or relatives that were staff members.
The office visit was pretty nice. They did two presentations about what a great place Crowe is, and then took us out to lunch. By the time we came back, we had an hour left. 20 minutes was an interview, then 20 with the staff and 20 with in-charges. The second interview was rating my skills with Excel, Word and such. Really? Not what I was expecting.
Didn't get an offer, but I'm not heartbroken. Their culture wasn't really for me.

Interviewed Oct 2010 in Grand Rapids, MI (took 2 weeks)
The university I attended had a Pre-Recruiting process in place which is where I meet the firm, talked with a couple of employees and passed on my resume. From this process I got an on campus interview. The interview consisted of 2, 1-on-1 interviews with managers at the firm. They asked some personality questions, some scenario/behavioral based questions but overall it seemed like they just wanted to get to know you. I balance between professionalism as well as more relaxed conversation but each person is different just like each firm is different. You really want to be as much like a professional "yourself" as you can. If you are fake the entire time and they cannot tell, then you may end up with a firm you don't even like. Not everyone is right for every firm, you really need to find a firm that fits well with you and you with them.
After the on-campus interview I had a technical phone interview regarding computer applications I have used in the past.
My perceptions of the people are great so far! It is a large firm with great talent so you will be expected to work efficient and hard. The people are great and fit very well with my personality. The office in Grand Rapids is excellent, right down town with plenty or things to do after work. Busy season is busy season, you work a lot.
Hope this helps!
