Business Development Intern Interview (Positive Experience; Average Interview)
I applied through college or university and interviewed at Cubic.
Interview Details – Cubic HR contacted through e-mail for an in-person interview. Talked with 6 different current employees in the Business Development division. Mostly questions regarding your experience, interests, and knowledge of the company. Candidates need to know how they can contribute to the company and what kind of skills they can bring to the table. Also, make sure you know your long-term goals. They are very interested in long-term applicants. The whole interview process took about 4 hours. Everyone I talked to was very friendly and humorous.

Costpoint Specialist Interview (Positive Experience; Average Interview)
I applied through an employee referral and the process took a day - interviewed at Cubic in November 2011.
Interview Details – First step is a general interview with HR, then a detailed interview with the hiring manager. The HR person was very friendly, and had been with the company for more than 15 years. He did the usual review of my resume, asking what I liked most and least about each company I had been with, and my reason for leaving. The interview with my hiring manager was very detailed about the knowledge and skills I had gained from previous positions. Again, the usual interview questions - nothing from left field.
Interview Question – How do you deal with difficult people? Answer Question
Negotiation Details – Because there are so many people here who have been with the company for 10+ years, it is difficult to negotiate extra time off because they feel it is unfair to long-time employees. Otherwise, they were very flexible.
