Interviewed Sep 2009 (took 2 days)
Initial communications were slow in coming, despite an introduction by someone that knew both me and the hiring manager. It made me think they might be disorganized, which seemed to be the case once I finally got to the interviews. I ultimately had to speak with several people over two days. They seemed personable enough, but overall not the most professional in terms of appearance or how they conducted the interviews.

Reason for Declining
The offer was competitive, but the ability to progress in my career was more important. I felt that the people doing the hiring were not sufficiently competent to either act as good mentors or properly sheppard client projects (or retain or help acquire clients).

Interviewed Jun 2010 in Singapore (Singapore) (took 2 months)
Interview actually did not take long. It was very informal, held over dinner. Figures put on the table were just indicative. Company will revert to me with the final offer. I told the potential employer that since I will make a big jump and migrate to SG, then I have to be well compensated. Told them that my current local rate already belongs to the top-tier and is much higher than the industry rate.
