Interviewed Oct 2009 in Plantation, FL (took 3 weeks)
It was good - It took a long time because most travel for work and it was hard to coordinate the timings.
An offer was prepared for me but they had to put it on hold because of the hire freeze they recently had. Even though the problems being faced were in a different division it is their company policy that the hire freeze be done company-wide.
The phone interview was to Germany where they have the Headquarters. Approximately about 9 interviewed me. I didn't have a problems with that. They wanted to make sure you are a fit.

All who interviewed me were really nice and respectful.
Only one interview they were not there on time. I was.
The interview process was long because they travel frequently and those that had to interview me were frequently our of town. They did make effort to have as many interviewers together at the same time so that I wouldn't have to return more frequently. The phone interview was from Germany where their main headquarters is. They had an offer for me on the table but were unable to proceed with the hiring process b/c a hire freeze was made effective just then due to the closing of one of their businesses. I know it was true b/c it was public news. Even though the department was not affected, it is their company policy to extend the hire freeze to all divisions, also considering they may give the job opportunities to someone they had just laid off in the division that was being closed.
