the interview process was interesting to say the least. I went through a contracting agency but it doesnt matter who you go through or what I tell you. Directv is unorganized and the processes are not uniform throughout the company and they are awkward because you dont end up working with the people you interview with

Interviewed Feb 2010 in El Segundo, CA (took 2 days)
Interview process consisted of one phone interview and then in-person interviews. Company is stable and in a profitable position, but the IT group seems behind the times and stuck in processes and systems. Location is right next to LAX and it's a horrible commute to get to it. Interviews were not very difficult, just general and technical questions.
