Interviewed Mar 2012 in El Paso, TX (took a day)
I applied online and took the first part of the assesment. They called for me to come in and take the second part of the assesment. I passed so they set me up to come in for an interview. I waited for like over and hour past my appointment time and met with two different people. The questions they asked were somewhat hard to find an answer for and kind of difficult.

The interview process was pretty reasonable. They were not at all clear that the turnover rate at Dish is around 90%.

Interviewed Jun 2011 (took a day)
I saw an advertisement on the internet that Dish Network was hiring. Before you fill out any paperwork you are given an accessment test. They do not tell you before you begin how long this will take which is upseting because the test has so many parts it can take 2 to 3 hours to complete. Then, when you pass the test you are asked to pick a date for the interview. After you pick a date for the interview, they confirm this by email and give you a link to fill out the paperwork.
When you arrive at the interview, prepare to be there 3 to 4 more hours and take part 2 of the assessment. In the one on one interview - they were not really interested in what you had accomplished in previous jobs. In fact, the interviewer that I had led me to believe they could not have cared less. The 2 negatives that I felt envolved misrepresenting the job and placed you in a precarious position are as follows. 1) The job description states that everyone in this position starts at $12.00 per hour. The interviewer asked me if I would accept a lower starting wage and if so what is the least I would consider working for. I informed the interviewer ( and they had knowledege that my previous job had earned me substantially more) that the job description indicated everyone started at $12.00 per hour so that is what I put down. I feel it is less than honest to ask people that question when they already stated that everyone starts at $12 per hour. 2) (They, like all employers, inform you that this is an at will position that they or you can terminate employment for any reason at any time.) The next question in interviewer asks: Is there any reason why you would not want to take out a subscription with Dish Network. (They give you a monthly coupon toward the America's Top 250 subscription which is $69.99+ per month) This sounds great as long as you have the job. The subscription is for 2 years - that translates into a potential $1679.76+ that you are on the hook for if the employment does not work out. If you say no - you might not get the job! There ought to be a law, don't you think. Both of these questions shook my confidence in this company - I am glad I did not get the job or the financial debt!

Interviewed Nov 2009 (took a day)
I applied for the job at the Jamaica WorkForce 1 Center. When I got to the company I was given a 1 hour computer test which I had to achieve a certain grade (I did). After that I was interviewed but he HR person and last by a supervisor who spoke the same language as I to make sure I really spoke fluently. The interview was easy, I guess the harder thing would be the computer test. Once you are hired you go through a 5 weeks (Monday-Friday) training class. On those classes you take test at the end of each class.

Interviewed Aug 2010 in Hilliard, OH (took 1 week)
I applied for the CSR position at Dish network about a week ago, took an hour and a half. It immediately wanted me to set up an interview date and time. Did so, and showed up for the interview. I waited for maybe 20 minutes, my name was called and went to a room with a few computers and basically had to do the same exact interactive call center simulation test that was on the application but you actually had to speak your answers as if it were to a customer and type notes into the ticket as fast as you could. Not difficult really. it tells you afterward if you passed or not. Then had to wait for about 20 more minutes. HR lady came out and took me to a back room where I was asked a few question like describe a scenario when you went above and beyond the call of duty to get a job done. A few others like that then I was asked if there was anything stopping you from getting dish network service. Its free with the job but I don't like how they pretty much force it on you. Then was taken back to the waiting room, waited about 40 minutes and another HR gentleman came and gave me a second interview. He went through just about everything to do with the job. Benefits, rules, attendence, what they expect, what it will be like on the call center floor, how training will go, things like that. Went over more questions like the first interview. Then I was told that I would be in the training class in the very near future. They would call me within a week. We shall see how that goes. The people were very pleasent, Place was very clean, up to date with technology with amd processors in the computers, saw a couple intel machines....meh, all employees seemed to be cheerful. This interview experience with be positive or negative based on if I get the job or not. But the Interview I thought went fairly well
