Interviewed Sep 2009 in Englewood, CO (took 2 weeks)
I was first contacted by a member of the finance team to discuss my experience and skills. This interview lasted approximately 30 minutes. After getting accepted for second round interviews they flew me out to Englewood, CO where I met with 4-5 members of the finance team. Each interview lasted approximately 30-45 minutes with questions ranging from basic behavior to in depth case questions. Basically if you understand financial concepts, NPV, ROI, B/S, IS, CFS then you should have no problem getting through the case questions. Just be prepared, be articulate, and be confident. They really rate you on your ability to handle yourself in front of groups of people so be prepared with public speaking examples. This role, and any finance role at Dish will eventually put you in front of Robert Olson the CEO. You must be able to present to C-level executives to have a good career at Dish.

There was no negotiation. They told me what I was going to get, I tried to negotiate, but they said take it or leave it. Since this was during a rough time in the economy, I didn't have much of a choice but to take it.

The interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, an IQ/Intelligence Test, a Skills Test, a Personality Test, a Drug Test and a Background Check.
