Interviewed Aug 2011 in Denver, CO (took 3 days)
Dish is proud that they test all applicants in skills and personality. Before figuring out where they would fit it if at all. The test is similar to an SAT test which maybe fine if you just graduated school but when you are decades from graduation I recommend finding some example tests online.

Interviewed Dec 2010 in Englewood, CO (took 2 weeks)
First, a phone interview with HR. A couple days later I took a 3 hour assessment test online with three sections that you can do anytime at home. Received a call a few days later for an in-person interview with the hiring manager. At the in-person interview, filled out some paper work, took a 15 minute(50 questions) assessment test , and then the hiring manager interview. There was a lot of time spent just waiting around. The hiring manager had a standardized 5 page questionnaire, so she just asked me question after question while she wrote down notes. Pretty boring interview. Never heard from them since.

Interviewed Nov 2010 in Denver, CO (took 2 months)
I had to do a 1:2 interview at my university where I was asked to take about 3 hrs. of online assessments. About a week later I was invited to another interview at the headquarters. This day consisted of 6 interviews and two more assessments all in the single day. I was called again a week and half later and asked to come in for three more interviews. After this entire process which took about a month and a half I was sent a generic "thanks but no thanks" email. I felt that was rude after wasting so much of my time that they would send me an email and especially a generic one. I have heard bad things about the HR of this company as well as the pay. I had to experience it first hand to believe what I had read.

Interviewed Feb 2010 in West, TX (took 2 months)
The interview process took about 2 months. Internal communications were very slow so I wait and wait and wait. HR process is definitely not very efficient. There is way too many approval and processes that they have to make people go through. I'm not sure how much of that actually is useful.

Interviewed Jan 2010 in Denver, CO (took 1 week)
I was interviewed on campus after attending my career fair. So far, I've only had a first round interview. The questions were all behavioral, such as describe a time you had an unexpected change in events. They did not ask me any questions that surprised me, and were very friendly during the interview. They told me that they would tell me within a week whether I would be considered for a second round interview. Within four days, I received an e-mail inviting me to a second round. Overall, i would rate my experience, so far, as very positive.
