I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at DISH (Denver, CO) in Aug 2011
Interview
Dish is proud that they test all applicants in skills and personality. Before figuring out where they would fit it if at all. The test is similar to an SAT test which maybe fine if you just graduated school but when you are decades from graduation I recommend finding some example tests online.

Question 1
Do you mind taking a skills test?....Before I can have you talk to anyone you must first take our skills test. It is not bad, just like an SAT test. Just make sure you are not tired when you take it.
The job process was made up of three different interviews with three different people. All the people I talked to were smart, kind, and honest. I was happy with the process.

I applied online. I interviewed at DISH in Nov 2021
Interview
Submit application, then they’ll ask you to submit video cover letter answering 3 questions in 2 minutes. Then there’s a phone interview, then video interview. The phone interview is mostly behavioral questions and just stuff about you.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you had to overcome something.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at DISH in Sep 2021
Interview
Initial screening with the recruiter was great. We went well over our 30-minute time allotment and the conversation was very back-and-forth. The interview with the hiring manager was painful. I also didn’t hear back in weeks and had to reach out myself, after I was told that I would hear back within a few days. The interview was conducted via video and it was very clear that the HM was just reading situational questions off of a list, nothing marketing-related that showed genuine interest or thought on their end. I was interviewing while still holding a position with my previous company in which I was working 3-4 roles in one. At one point the HM asked me for an example of a time I found an inefficiency in operations and what I did to combat it. I gave a very detailed explanation of the automation I set up for a process that was previously very manual. The HM had the audacity to respond with “It sounds like you have a lot of time on your hands.” I was taken aback. Very unprofessional. Shame on DISH for letting their hiring managers talk to candidates that way.
