Interviewed May 2012 in New York, NY (took a day)
I applied online at DSW.com back in December, they emailed me for an interview; however, the email said if you could not make it, email them and they will set you up with a different date. I did that because the interview was on the Sabbath, but I was never emailed back until April 30th. The interview was on May 9th, and it consisted of a group interview first. If they wanted to continue the process with you, they selected you and you went on for a 1 on 1 interview. The only thing I did not like was that I felt like at my 1:1 interview, the interviewer wasn't paying much attention to me. She kept saying uh huh, and then she told me I got the job and to fill out an availability sheet. Maybe they had already decided I got the job, and that is why. I'm just waiting now on my call to start training (they have to finish the criminal background check first). The interview process took very long because a lot of people came out for the interview, but the interview process itself was good; just be natural. If you have what they're looking for, they'll probably hire you.

Interviewed Jan 2012 in Dedham, MA (took a day)
I went in to fill in an application and the next day I got an interview. The interviewer was very friendly but asked me a couple of questions that caught me off guard; maybe thats why I didn't get the job offer. Pretty laid back interview though.

Interviewed Jan 2012 (took a day)
The overall experience was positive. I interviewed with two district managers and they were very easy to talk with. I was able to answer all of their questions with no hesitation. My overall comfort level was at it's highest point and enjoyed discussing the potential opportunity.

Interviewed Jan 2012 in Chicago, IL (took 1+ week)
The first interview was supposed to be a group interview, but it ended up just being me and one other guy. Which I suppose counts as a group interview, but there were supposed to be 5 of us. The questions were standard get-to-know-you type and the interview itself lasted for about 25 minutes.
The one on one interview was a week later and with the store manager. She didn't really ask any questions, but rather instructed me to ask questions and talk about myself. I did that for about 20 minutes and left. I received a call with an offer 5 days later after they checked my references and did a background check.

Interviewed May 2011 in Wayne, NJ (took 1 week)
The interview was very fun. It took about an hour, but we were in a group of four and we were asked basic interview questions. The fun part came when we were told to go on the sales floor and choose a shoe that we thought was fashionable for the current season and explain how we could sell it to the customer. After going through questions with the store manager and then one of the managers on duty we were finished. Within a week I was called back to report for training.
