Interviewed Mar 2011 in North Vancouver, BC (Canada) (took 2 days)
I was notified by a friend who already worked at DQ about the job. I printed out my resume and a copy of the application on their website, handed it in that day, and was called for an interview for the following day. I went in for a short 1:1 interview, where my manager and I briefly talked about previous job experience, laws regarding breaks and paycheques, store policies, etc. I accepted the job and came in the next day for training.

Interviewed Jun 2011 in San Diego, CA (took a day)
Saw a job listing that they were hiring so I went in the same day and asked for an application. Filled it out and gave it to one of the cashiers. Got a call a few days later to come to an interview in two days time. Went and the manager was really friendly; we drifted off topic at times and talked about what I wanted to do in life and he would insert his own stories which helped me relax a bit. The manager asked me questions based off of my resume and application and said at the end of the interview that he will talk to the other manager and give me a call but never did.

Interviewed May 2010 in Las Vegas, NV (took a day)
The manager was very friendly. Asked me simple questions such as: How would your friends describe yourself? How did you handle working with angry customers? Describe good customer service etc... very easy questions. A couple of hours later I got a call back saying I was hired! Key thing is to look sharp, smile and be enthusiastic.

Interviewed Oct 2010 in Texarkana, TX (took a day)
I applied online and did exams regarding my skills in mathematics, spelling, and reading comprehension. I was called and told to come in person and fill out some "additional paperwork." I went there and she gave me paperwork to fill out at any table I wanted. I signed agreements regarding dress code and other policies, filled out other things such as a W-2 form, and then the manager asked to see my driver's license when I handed the papers back to her.. She said I'd be called the next day, but I never was. I suppose I never actually got an interview, though it seemed like I was being hired.
Other Details
I Applied Online and the interview consisted of an IQ/Intelligence Test and a Background Check.

Interviewed Aug 2008 in Mankato, MN (took a day)
The employer approached me to request me for an interview after I had submitted my application. The interviewer was very genuine and asked very prevalent questions towards what my skills were and how I would be able to benefit the organization as a whole. I accepted the offer and have had great experiences there ever since.

Interviewed Jun 2008 in Maple Grove, MN (took a day)
Very informal. Just sat for a one-on-one interview with a manager who asked a few easy questions. We mostly talked about availability. He then went directly into describing the position, dress code, company policies etc. He helped me with the filling out all the necessary paperwork and I started working the next day.

Interviewed Jul 2009 (took a day)
Dropped off my resume to the front till, waited and talked to the manager briefly, told me to come back for an interview the following day, so I came back the next day. Was a general basic interview, talked about my previous experience, skills, stengthes, weaknesses etc. Eventually got the job, starting pay was $9.00 but quickly advanced to a "key holder" postion (aka supervisor) and got a $1.50 an hour raise

Interviewed Mar 2009 in Ottawa, ON (Canada) (took a day)
I went to the local Dairy queen to fill out an application, and I was asked to have an interview on the spot. They just told me about the company and the responsibilities I would have, and then asked me about my availability and if I usually take summer vacations, as they are busiest in the summer. At the end of the interview, they offered me the job and told me they would call when I was to start working.

Interviewed Mar 2010 in Greenville, SC (took 2 days)
I contacted IDQ for the position of Presidents Assistant. They did not have this job title in the past. I was able to "sell" the concept to the Personal Secretary and the president gave the interview to a Vice President. He was cocky and not capable of listening to the concept. He was pushy but personable. He did not respond to my conversation with relavent comments or questions. Rather he Kept telling me how they did it and did not need another position. A possible fact, butthe lack of a two way conversation between us was indicative of the problems the new position would have addressed. A common problem in the DQ franchise system. (DQ I was 10862.)
