Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Boston, MA Jan 2012 – Reviewed Feb 21, 2012
Interview Details –
My first interview consisted of a phone interview with the HR recruiter. While we touched upon my previous experiences and responsibilities a lot of the interview was about who I am and my personality. Personally I liked it because it shows the company not only cares about what an employee will/can do but who they are as a person.
Following the phone interview I was asked to come in for in 1:1 interviews. I met with 4 different people, 30 minutes each. About a week later I was asked to come in again for more 1:1 interviews. This time I met 3 people 30 minutes each. I was asked to interview one more time, this time with the manager again. The overall process was thorough but with DataXu being a small start up, it shows how they really want to know the who they are bringing onto their team.
Interview Question – Without referring to your resume but putting into consideration all of your experience, explain who you are as an employee. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – I tried to negotiate a higher base salary but it wasn't possible. However, the base salary along with the expected bonuses made for a very reasonable annual salary.
Other Details - I applied in-person and the process took 5+ weeks.
Overall Positive Experience
