Interviewed Aug 2010 (took 4+ weeks)
I applied for Business Analyst through my college career website. At first, I received a screening phone call from HR. She asked me a couple of questions - basically about my resume and why I want to work for the company. After few days I heard back from her and this time, I was called in for the on-site interview where I was interviewed by Senior Manager and Vice-President of the zone. Each took 1:1 interview which lasted about half an hour. About a week later, I was called in again at the on-site and this time it was a brief interview again if I consist of core competencies which the company requires and thereafter, I was hired.

Daymon reaches out to a number of prestigious colleges and universities nationwide. They primarily target college career fairs, so if you're not within the network of schools that they reach out to, it may be hard to get in the door. After having my resume spotted at the career fair, I was interviewed. A week or so later, I received a call to come to the program that they refer to as Daymon day at their head quarters. There, you learn a lot about the company, its history and where it's headed. You're alongside a number of highly intelligent and qualified candidates, so at first, the environment is slightly intimidating.

Interviewed Jan 2009 (took 3 days)
Two rounds of phone interviews first. Followed by an entire day of in person interviews with 6 different people. Very structured interviews with each person appearing to have a written list of questions. No small talk. Right down to business. Very formal process. Behavioral interviews with each person keying in on one behavior. Exhausting day with no breaks. At conclusion of day, HR explained that all persons who interviewed me needed to have unanimous decision regarding making an offer or not. I was phoned 2 days later and told that of all the interviews, 2 people had "issues" but I was not provided details. The process ended for me.

Interviewed Jan 2008 (took a day)
It wasn't the most pleasant interview because the hiring manager had an attitude. When I asked him standard questions about the company in the end, he mocked me and told me I have to be more creative and what I should have asked instead. At first I was comfortable because he was my alumni from same school, but his attitude was repulsive. He basically started teaching me how I should interview in the future. And to be honest, I was doing well, guess just not what he was looking for.

Interviewed Nov 2009 (took 2 days)
My experience with the initial interview with Daymon was that an assistant to the Corporate Recruiter set the time and forwarded to me the job description with the comment that the Corporate Recruiter would review the job with me. Upon the day of the phone interview the Corporate Recruiter contacted me and was on speaker phone. I found that very distracting.
The Corporate Recruiter asked if I had reviewed the job description and how I felt I was qualified for the position. The Recruiter then asked a number of fairly standard questions and that was the end of the interview. I interjected along the way about wouldn't you be interested in my qualifications and the reply was that the Recruiter was simply screening for the hiring manager.
OK - my bad for not being more proactive about the interview and selling myself. So what I learned from the experience is that if I had it to do over again I would have been much more assertive and taken charge of the interview from the prospective of strongly selling myself rather than waiting for a traditional type of telephone screen interview.
This opinion and feeling is further reinforced in that the Recruiter seemed from the very outset to project a feeling of really being unenthusiastic about interviewing me. It seemed like the recruiter was simply going through the motions. Hope this helps any other perspective candidates to strongly "take charge" of the interview. Good luck to all candidates.
