Sales Consultant Interview

Sales Consultant

I applied through a recruiter and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at DePuy Synthes.

Interview Details – Several levels of interview starting with 1. regional manager, 2. reg. manager and senior sales consultant, 3. product management, 4. VP Sales, 5. President. If you make it this far, you go back to interview again with the reg. manager. It is a very competitive process. All the interviews were pleasant and I did not feel pressured or uneasy.

Interview Question – From the hiring manager: It's down to you and one other candidate. I'd like to give you the position but I'm not totally convinced you're the right choice. How can you prove to me that you're the right one for this position?   View Answer

Negotiation Details – I was happy with the original offer, but asked for an additional $5k in base salary and got it.

Product Development Engineer Interview

Product Development Engineer
Warsaw, IN

I applied through college or university and the process took 4 months - interviewed at DePuy Synthes.

Interview Details – My contact with Depuy started at an on campus career fair. I communicated with the company and they suggested I apply online to be considered for an interview. A few weeks later, I got a number of emails indicating I was going to be interviewed on-site in Warsaw, IN. So, I drove 3 hours to the middle of nowhere with great anticipation. I, along with about 10 others, was taken on a walking tour of the office, and served lunch. Following lunch, I had two interviews. The first was with the knee replacement design/development team, and the second was with quality assurance. They mostly stuck to my resume, with intermittent behavioral questions. After that? I called them, I emailed them, and I literally wrote them a letter. I was not contacted for 4 months until deep into the summer, when I had already been working at another company for a month.

Interview Question – Tell us about a time when someone you were managing didn't come through, and how did you resolve it.   View Answer
